NYPD officials held a press conference today to announce that the joint NYFD/NYPD and Homeland Security Task Force have officially eliminated the extremist group Humanity's Last Stand from groups potentially responsible for the Subway Sabotage Disaster.
Spokeswoman Captain Alanis Mayne said, "At this point in the investigation, our only suspects are mutant and metahuman supremacist groups. We have chosen not to name them in order not to draw the attention they so desperately seek. We do have footage from cameras found on scene, cell phone recordings and photographs, physical evidence, and witness statements that are helping us determine the identities of those involved.
New York City's Mayor, Mark Gruenwald, spoke after the task force, urging calm. "Please remember that among us here in New York are thousand of mutant and metahuman citizens who have never even considered committing a crime. They assist us in times of disaster, they are our neighbors and our friends. I beg New Yorkers to remember the tolerance and decency that have been the hallmark of how the good people of this city have addressed this issue so far."
