A spokesperson for the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio has confirmed rumors that there was a break-in early this morning. This is the location of the Air Force Research Laboratory, which is tasked with discovery, development, and integration of aerospace warfighting technologies; planning and executing the Air Force science and technology program; and provide warfighting capabilities to United States air, space, and cyberspace forces.
The spokesperson, Colonel Steven Trevor, notes that the thieves were chased off before they could obtain anything of value. "For security reasons, we cannot disclose what the target was, but can assure the public that everything is secure."
