Why do those blasted Sentinels keep scanning my Helicarrier?
Who: Nick Fury, Cir-El, Tynan Morrigan
Sentinels, SHIELD officers
Where: Shield Helicarrier Argus over North Metropolis
When: 03/28/2015
Tone: Social, Comedic
What: A training session on the Argus gets interrupted

There comes a time when all must face training. Those wishing to gain any kind of trust with the Director should be ready for anything. The training room has been cleared for a private purpose and Fury waits for his victim.. err.. trainee to join him. Standing tall with hands resting behind him all seems to be quiet, perhaps the silence is deafening in this room. Eye trained on the doorway he isn't a very patient man but he waits.

Now that is something Cir-El has not seen before. A very large flying craft of some kind. Unfortunately super vision is not on her active power list, so she jumped to the top of the nearest building to take a closer look.

Tynan Morrigan walks into the room. She's not wearing the catsuit of traditional SHIELD agents. Rather, she's wearing her kavlar/Dragonskin double armor set. Its been with her for years, and her body adapted to it. Now...its so light, it feels like a t-shirt. The serum can do some insane things to the body...The woman walks up to Fury, and goes into Attention stance, spine so straight that it makes rods look bent. The woman keeps her eyes on Fury though. He's not somebody you take lightly, if you even consider trying to take him. She's heard the rumors of the Devil's Dad, so...she rather stay on the outside of the Cube...

As she comes in finally, Fury stands just staring for a few minutes as she is at attention. "What.." he says in a short tone as he begins circling around her to his right. "What does being in SHIELD mean to you?" there really is no right or wrong answer other than the curiosity of what she thinks. "Do you even know what SHIELD stands for?"

Cir-El sees the logo on the side of the large craft. It seems like this is some kind of local military group associated with the government. She probably should not just jump over, it might be considered hostile. She is about to leave when she hears something. She frowns...triangulating it should be between her and the big craft roughly, but she does not see it...it sounds like a vectored thrust engine, but very quite...There are at least three in fact, only one on her side...

Tynan takes a moment to stay in Soldier mode. "Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement Logistics Division. What does it mean to me? Well sir, its a job. Plain and simple. You know whats in my blood, so as you pointed out, my choices are work for you, or sit inside a cube for however long it takes for me to die. Which could be an insanely long time.", she tells. The woman keeps her composure, and stays at attention. Discpline is a big sticking point for her...

Listening as she speaks he stops right behind her staring into the back of her head. "So all it means to you is a way of staying out of the cube?" Fury speaks raising his voice a little bit letting it echo through the room. "I know what is in your blood and that isn't what is in question right now. Do you hold no compassion for protecting the world? Am I just wasting my time with you?"

A large robot of some kind appears as the sentinel drops our of stealth mode to scan the Helicarrier. Not detecting any wanted felons, it prepares to recloak and leave.

Cir-El almost jumps on it...but pauses. So far, whatever that is, it has not done anything hostile.

Tynan takes a moment to phrase her next comment carefully. "Sir. Until such a time as when the world stops spinning, I intend to believe that it will keep spinning, Sir. I am simply one soldier on the battlefield. My top priority is to stay out of a Cube right now. Heroes save the world. Soldiers just do the bloody work, and win the wars," she says. The woman continues to stand at attention. She's starting to wonder if he intends to keep her at attention the whole time without an At ease.

It is then that a hand comes to rest on the piece in his ear. Fury walks around to the front as he listens. "Those damn things are lingering outside again? How many times do they plan to scan this bird. Even if they wanted someone off this vessel they would have to get past all our agents." he waves a hand for Tynan to follow him and he heads for the bridge. Looking at the readings of those below, "Get the minor off the streets. We don't need those things picking up an innocent by mistake." turning he looks at Tynan, "Morgan, get your ass down to street level and find the minor that is below and bring them up here. NOW! GO! GO!"

Tynan just gives him an evil eye. "Mor/ri/gan.", she says, before running off. The woman mutters a few times. Cap must have smacked Fury with the SHIELD a few too many times. The woman sprints through the carrier, bouncing off the walls to turn. This is going to take some getting used to. WALL! Crash, bounce, push off. Soon the woman is outside, and heading for one of the jets. She grabs one of the techs. "Can you fly that bird?", she asks.

"Yes I can, but I'm not," he goes. "Whose orders?"

"Fury's. And if that's not enough, I'm the irish girl who can pull out the BFG out of thin air, so get your arse on that bird, and get it moving.", she barks. Tynan mutters..."Cause I can't fly, and I damn well can't pilot...," she says. After that, the two get on the Quinjet. They fly down to the roof, and the bay door opens. "Miss...get on the plane. Its not safe out here. Oy! Pilot. Once aboard, get us out of here before whatever that is decides to bead us."

Cir-El observes activity on the large flier, it appears to be discharging smaller craft. She jumps to a different roof to get a better angle of view. The giant robot has begun camouflaging itself to match the background, though she knows it is still there because she can hear it's thrusters. She wonders if the smaller craft will know the other two are there, it does not seen safe to fly with hidden giants around...

Tynan mutters looking at Cir-El. "Here's the deal. Miss. We need you to get on board the craft.", she says as the pilot mutters about having to change the course of the craft. Tynan closes her eyes...All this noise...The Carrier itself, the Jet, and 6 more thrusters...Wait...6? Why is there 6? "Director Fury. Do a Thermal around the Carrier for abnormal Heat signatures. I don't think that's a loner...”, she tells. "I'm hearing too much noise for just the carrier, this bird, and one Robot...", she says.

When the jet comes down she is momentarily puzzled, then realizes they think she might be in danger. She decides to go with them, rather than argue. After jumping in, she says, "There are three of them, in a roughly triangular pattern around the large craft."

Not having thermal vision, she has been practicing locating things with her hearing, in case she needs to fight in the dark.

Nick Fury has a thermal scan done around the carrier and jet sent down to the rooftops. Sending the scans for her to see the results on screen, "Neutralize any threats, Agent." he tells Tynan. "If all is clear get back to the mother ship." after this he directs those around him to prepare the cloaking device to hide the carrier once they are aboard.

Tynan looks at the thermal scans, and takes a thermal scope. Her eyes and hands glow for a second, and she makes a slashing motion with her hands. The woman opens up a rift, and pulls out what looks to be a small bulky rifle. She attaches the scope to the Rifle. "Yes...Flying in a jet, and attempting to shoot at cloaked fliers if they become hostile. Yeah, no wonder the devil gave him the throne without a fight.", she says. The woman attaches a Shooter's cord to the roof. "Miss. There's a hook on my back. Attach the clip to the hook.", she says, as the woman opens up the bay door. "Pilot, back to Motherbird.", she says.

Cir-El has little practice with weapons, but she can see what the other woman wants done. She hooks the ammunition clip to the hook suggested and waits.

Tynan takes a moment to lean out. If its not hooked up right, She'll know quickly. The woman takes a deep breath, and nods her head, giving a thumbs up. She stands on the edge of the Ramp, and watches as the bird makes it back up to the Carrier. After it lands, the pilot walks up, and unhooks Tynan giving her a pat to let her know its safe. She takes a deep breath. "We're on board sir."

Cir-El asks, "What is the place, and what are those robots?" Neither this group nor those giant robots are native to her world...assuming she actually has a world...just thinking about it gives her headaches.

"Meet me in the training room." Fury tells Tynan and that is where he heads to meet this minor. Once there its assumed they are there, "Welcome aboard! I am Director Fury and this is Agent Morgan." he introduces himself and her rescuer or escort. "Those are called Sentinels. They are a pain in our..." wait this is a child, "They are simply a pain. Now who are you?"

Tynan heads for the training room, and goes back to her attention stance after putting her rifle away back in subspace. She takes a deep breath for a moment. She says to the Director, "I guess Cir-El is as close to who I am as anything. As to who THAT is, it is really complicated. The short form, I was created by Brainiac in a future that no longer exists to convince Superman I was his daughter while spreading a plague on another Earth. I have been freed of the plague, but I really do not even know how I can still be alive..."

For a brief moment a red flag is raised inside when she mentions a plague. Nick knows there is one among the city going around so he doesn't need it here. "So you are from the future where you were made to destroy the earth by making it sick?" the Director questions going into almost an interrogation type mode. Though he walks to Tynan leaning in to whisper into her ear before straightening up giving her the green light. He finds a char setting it down, "Have a seat, Circle. Would you like anything?"

Tynan blinks a few times. Cap mentioned strike teams. Interrogations are something much different. She pauses for a moment, and rubs her eyes as she goes into at ease. The woman scratches the back of her neck. "Can you tell me about this Brainiac guy?", she asks. The woman looks around a little bit. "And why do you think you shouldn't be alive?"

Cir-El does not correct the Director's pronunciation, "Not this Earth, and it was a techno-organic transformative virus that turned people into cyborgs, then into robots. STAR Labs was told what to look for after it was cleared out of my system, but they could not find any traces of it."

She says, "I do not need much food, unless I get hurt and am healing, but I do like it. Do you have any hot cocoa?.

Cir-El tries to figure out what to say about Brainiac, "Brainiac is a twelfth-level computer intellect whose goal is to gather all information everywhere into itself. If you want to put that in scale, and you know who Lex Luthor is, he is an Eighth level intellect."

Cir-El says, "I jumped into a time portal and prevented the events that caused my creation from happening. If that whole timeline was wiped out before my birth, how can I still exist?"

Nick Fury nods his head giving a silent nod to one of the others by the doorway to get the cocoa. He has given Tynan the go ahead for this so he waits to see how she answers the inquiry and will add to it if needed.

Tynan looks a little confused at this point. "You got me, Kid. By your little scale, I'm probably a 2 or a three.", she says. "So basically, you were created by a computer to destroy the world?", she asks.

"To turn the world into hosts for another part of Brainiac, all the nanites that made up all the robots and cyborgs would form a nano-comuputer grid for a Brainiac master program," Cir-El explains

She adds, "Destroyed for human purposes, much improved for Brainiac's. He explained it to me just before I jumped into the time portal."

Nick Fury takes the cup from the one that brings it and offers it to Cir himself. "Ok so you jumped into a time portal. Indeed you are before you were created but doesn't mean you no longer exist. It is like you are a visitor in another time is all." he tries to explain it from his perspective anyway. "So you were created. Does this make you a droid? Cyborg?"

Ty shakes her head. Everything that is said goes over her head. She's not stupid, but she's not the type of person to really get good intel from questioning from.

Cir-El considers, "I was created from a living human...well I assume she was living. Whatever, her memory was sifted and the usable parts to build the mind Brainiac wanted were kept and the rest was discarded, but not fully destroyed. Her body was imprinted with cloned Kryptonian DNA, making it so that a conventional genetic scan would read her as Superman's daughter. I guess that makes me a genetically altered human, with powers somewhat resembling those of Kryptonian."

Nick Fury rather finds this intriguing, "I invite you to stay as a guest here. Agent Morgan, I want you to show Circle a room she can stay within and be sure everyone is aware of our guest. I put her in your care." then she can consider this to be her first assignment.

"Sir.", Tynan says. The woman pauses a moment. She doesn't even know where /her/ room is...If Ty is even assigned a room. So...The woman rubs the bridge of her nose, and lets out a long breath.

Cir-El frowns slightly, "I arranged to stay with my...well kind of brother...Superboy tonight. He will probably be worried if I do not get back soon."

Nick Fury nods his head, "Very well. She will see you back off safely. Agent Morgan, escort her down. Now if you will excuse me." he turns walking out.

Before Fury leaves, Cir-El asks, "Would you like me to return later sir?"

Nick Fury pauses a moment, "Yes. We can talk more later. nice meeting you, Circle."

After he leaves, Cir-El says, "He called you Morgan, did he get your name right, or mess it up as bad as mine?"
