Daddy's in a Bad Mood | |||||

What: The Hulk interrupts a chat between his daughters and a friend |
With the sun glowing brightly in the sky, with no cloud in the sky, it is clearly a beautiful Monday afternoon! But it seems it's not that bright for one girl, one metallic girl. Cessily Kincaid sighs heavily as she sits down on a bench, under the shade of a tree, looking nowhere near as 'bright and sunny' as the day is. She leans forward, resting her elbows on her knees as she looks down. Two of her best friends moved away today, and she is feeling quite down, now.
Bright sun is good for Cir-El, she needs the light, especially with the flight practice she has been doing. She uses a building in Central Park to sun herself frequently.
Actually, she also comes here for other reasons...strange things happen here frequently, it helps to be on hand when they do.
An odd sight would follow after Cir-El - what looks like some kind of hover car, the sound of spinning rotors can be heard. "You move too fast!" comes a semi-familiar voice from it as she moves to land by Cir-El, fans whirrring. There was a faint violet energy field around the hover car until it lands She then murmurs to Cir-El, "Hey - I know her. That's Cessily. She's... a mutant who can become liquid metal..."
Cessily Kincaid does not notice the arrival of the two. Technically, she doesn't really notice anyone passing by her. She leans back on the bench, pulling a leg with her, resting her heel on the edge of the bench seat while hugging her leg to herself, chin resting on her knee. She looks forward, but to nothing in particular.
Cir-El says, "Always interested in meeting friendly supers. I really do not understand the problem some people on this Earth have with mutants."
Cir-El drops to the ground fairly lightly, altering her angle of descent with a brief burst of red light from her hands. She is currently in her blue bodysuit and red cape...her blue cape being given to Valeria to work on.
Minoke Zavia shimmers as she shapeshifts into Minoke's human form, stretching as she runs fingers through her red hair. She heads over towards Cessily. "Hey Cessily - wow, you look sad... is something wrong?"
Cessily Kincaid almost doesn't notice the familiar voice speaking her name. It's a voice she heard only once, and she looks up from her knee, "Mm?" she asks, first noticing Minoke, before noticing Cir-El, "Oh, hey. Hi, Minoke." she says softly, waving a hand slowly toward the robotic woman. "Sorry, not really in a great mood, today. Two of my best friends moved out of state today."
"Believe me, I know the feeling," Cir-El said with a sigh. She lost her entire world TWICE. She misses her friends Natasha Irons and Tracy Thirteen sometimes...even though she only knew them a few months.
Minoke Zavia blinks. "Oh no... that's awful!" she chirps as she reaches to give Cess a hug. "I'm sorry to hear that." She then pulls back. "Ummmm.... well... I did feel sad when I came to this time and realized that everyone I knew was long dead... but that might be different..."
Cessily Kincaid nods to Cir-El, unaware of the size of the other girl's loss, but she blinks when Minoke almost jumps at her, "H-hey--" but it's too late. Hugged. She hugs back a bit, and sighs. She can't really tell her exact relationship to the two that left, so she just leaves it at this, "Those two were my closest, most intimate friends. It was sad seeing them go back to Ohio." she then sighs again. "I guess, life moves on, now."
"I have found that remembering the good things about old friends and making new ones are the two best helps," says Cir-El. Of course, the worse thing is when she remembers that the first world she lost only ever existed in her memory and Braniac's computation. She looks a bit depressed herself as that runs through her mind.
Minoke Zavia shrugs and seems rather innocent of the whole affair. "Oh well - I didn't really know anyone from the past - Mommy kept me isolated because - they were a superstition lot and would've thought I was possessed - I had to play blind to go to church by wrapping a blindfold around my eyes."
Cessily Kincaid nods softly to Cir-El's words, "I know, it's just..." she sighs, "Well, never mind." she shakes her head softly, before looking at Minoke, "Why would you go to church, anyways? It seems like... unnecessary, at best." she asks, before looking at Cir-El, "You're.. 'Superlady', as I've seen in the news, right?" she asks, tilting her head a bit to the left, curious.
She says, "Well, it is Superlass. Kara Zor-El is Supergirl, I am Cir-El...kind of her second cousin." Not exactly, but close enough genetically.
Minoke Zavia shrugs. "Yeah - my sister's really strong. She can even pick me up, and I weigh half a ton." She smiles softly. "Well, adopted sister - Daddy adopted her and he's about to marry Mommy so... stepsister..."
Cessily Kincaid blinks softly, "Sister?" she asks, confused, as she knows Minoke is a robot, and was pretty sure Cir-el is not a bot, but then the whole thing is explained and Cessily nods, "Ah, I see." she says, the metallic girl still seated on a bench, under the shade of a tree, and hugging one of her legs, "That's cool, the two of you being sisters." she nods gently, smiling a bit.
Cir-El says, "I never had a sister before, it is kind of nice. Minoke is fun to be around. We were doing flying lessons together with Captain Marvel as the teacher last week."
Minoke Zavia nods. "Yeah - she taught me how to become the hover car. Would you like to go for a ride?" she asks softly. "It's perfectly safe. I promise I got over crashing upside-down."
Bruce Banner is walking along his head rather making him unaware of things at the moment. A day with many kids playing and running about one causing him to trip landing on the ground. He growls low while getting up not paying mind if the child is hurt rather hurrying away concentrating on staying .. well.. calm.
Cessily Kincaid nods a bit, smiling at Cir-El, and she was about to say something when Minoke makes that none-too-regular offering, "What?" she asks, her mind taking a few seconds to fully understand it, "Um... I can't fly, you know that, right? I know you think we're alike, but we're not really the same..." she says, before looking at a man falling on the ground after being run over by a kid.
Cir looks over at the sounds and says, "Bruce!" She runs over and pauses to let him finish checking over the child before hugging him. She says, "Cessily, this is Bruce Banner, my guardian. Bruce, this is Minoke's friend Cessily."
Minoke Zavia nods. "I mean, I can turn into a hover car, you climb aboard, and I can take you flying. It should be perfectly safe- I carried my Mommy - though apparently made of metal, you're not nearly as heavy as I am..."
Bruce Banner didn't check over the child but he does blink as suddenly he is hugged. Looking at Cir she may see the mix of anger and confusion in his eyes. Looking at Cess his eyes and face flash green a moment. "Hi." he says to her plainly. "Minoke, what did your mother say about flying? She said don't do it." his voice comes across oddly stern.
Cessily Kincaid reaches a hand to brush her hair back, the wind knocking some strands loose and onto her face, as she watches as Cir-El goes to help Bruce Banner. When she sees the guy, she remembers 'Right. Mr Banner is Minoke's creator's fiancee.' she repeats in her mind, before looking at Minoke, "A hover car?" she asks. She feels jealous of the android, but knows she is not a robot therefore she can't do such stuff, but wasn't expecting Bruce to come and chastise her for wanting to fly, and she goes quiet.
Minoke Zavia blinks. "But Daddy!" she whines. "Mommy put a safety shield in me..." She sighs, shaking her head. "It's all safe now! I flew over here, following Cir-El."
Cir-El says, "I was not told you were not supposed to fly Min. I guess I am no judge of how dangerous that is. I once fell all the way from Orbit...though I did have help surviving that."
Bruce Banner stares at Minoke, "Fine. Do what you want..." he shrugs having a different attitude today. "All can just do what they want." there is a smell strongly of alcohol on him.
Cessily Kincaid blinks at the exchange between soon-to-be stepfather and soon-to-be step-'kinda-daughter', and tilts her head. She can't sense the alcohol from where she is, so she thinks this is their normal relationship. The metallic girl is a bit at lost of what to say or do. Family arguments aren't something she likes to witness...
Minoke Zavia stares at Bruce, sniffing. She sighs audibly, shaking her head as she wanders off. In the direction of a pond. She kneels down by it, putting one hand in it. She then walks back over to Bruce. "Drinking is bad for you - it's a bad example to Mommy," she scolds. And then she points her finger at Bruce - and the previously-channeled water from the pond is sprayed in Bruce's face in an attempt to sober him up.
Cir-El frowns, "What is wrong Bruce..." she starts to say, then it interrupted by Minoke. She scolds, "Min! Be nice, something is clearly bothering Bruce, don't do anything to upset him."
Bruce Banner is already upset and now he is wet.. Something less known about him as that is can take 29 seconds to 10 minutes to fully Hulk out. This though makes his eyes go green and he starts breathing hard trying to walk away while taking out a com making a call into it at a whisper.
Cessily Kincaid watches as Minoke goes to the lake, figuring she was just getting away from Bruce, but when she returns and literally splashes him in the face with water she jumps a bit, eyes widening. Whoa. But something else catches her attention, "Hey, did your stepfather's eyes change color, or was it just me not paying much attention initially?" she asks, blinking again.
Minoke Zavia blinks. "Daddy...?" she whispers, flinching as Cir-El yells at her for doing that. "You spray a drunk's face with water to sober them. Mommy taught me that... but... Daddy, calm down..." she whispers as she goes after Bruce and puts her hands on his shoulders. "I'm sorry... please... stay calm..."
Cir-El realized there could be trouble...she knows he just called for help in case his temper gets the better of him. She says to Minoke, "Sometimes that works Min, sometimes it does not. Bruce can be very dangerous if he loses control." OK, so she has only met him as the Hulk once, but he knows he is able to be as proportionately strong as she is, and weighs almost ten times as much...and is very Angry as the Hulk.
Bruce Banner was in a bad state before he even got here and this was icing on the cake. On his knees his hands on the sidewalk he is trying to control his breathing. His arms start pulsing in different areas with flashes of green the muscles coming out and going back in. Minoke is trying to calm hims Cess is standing back and Cir is nearby.
Cessily Kincaid frowns softly, and it doesn't take a genius to figure out what's happening when flashes of green show up on Bruce's pulsating form, "OK, this is going to get bad..." she stands up from her bench and takes a step back. She is nothing to the Hulk, but can't let the big guy cause havoc around here.
Cir-El stays close to Bruce, not sure what she can do to calm him, but there for him to lend moral support, and there to stand between him and the world if needed. She is not sure she can stop him alone, but she can sure try...and may keep him distracted a while...
Minoke Zavia just whimpers. "I... this is my fault..." she whispers softly, shivering softly. "I... I'm sorry!" she wails, on the verge of tears. "Please... don't... don't change..."
Bruce Banner breathes deeply, "It isn't you.." he says in a slight growl that is unintentional. "Just get away.. before I hurt you.." trying to stand he begins running though trips falling into the pond going under. Coming out though he is in Hulk form letting out a loud bellow of rage.
Cessily Kincaid gasps and jumps out of the way when Banner runs past her, and she turns just in time to watch the guy jump into the lake, "Well, that could cool him down..." she says, but then the green Goliath emerges, "Or not. Oh, why today..?" she groans, but she quickly moves to help people to run away. Things don't stay calm when the Hulk is involved.
Central Park is close enough that when Thor gets the call, he is able to get to the location relatively quickly. There is the sound of distant rumbling and then suddenly, an object flying at supersonic speeds slams into the Hulk, hopefully knocking him to the ground, but you can never tell. An instant later, a sonic boom catches up with Thor, and he stands up slowly, grinning, "Nice to see you Hulk. What brings you around today?"
Cir-El tries to give Bruce every chance, and she has one more thing to try before fighting him, "Daddy, I know you do not want to hit little girls. Please..."
She stands, her affection for Bruce clear, along with her determination to stop him if she must.
Minoke Zavia stays put. "Stop, Daddy!" she calls out as she points a finger at the Hulk. "Please... don't make me hurt you..." The redheaded girl doesn't look like much of a threat to those who don't know her. "Just... calm down... and don't break anything..." She just focuses, then yelps as Thor body slams Hulk from out of nowhere as she falls on her backside, whimpering softly. "I'm... I'm scared..." she whimpers.
The Hulk is knocked backwards into a tumbling roll in the grass by Thor. He breathes deep glaring at Thor and picking up a park bench its hurled at him with a loud growl. Looking around he notices all the people running his green eyes going over Cess, Cir, and then Minoke. His left arm comes up and he punches a tree in half the top falling off to the ground.
Cessily Kincaid wasn't expecting Thor to make such a fast entrance, the sonic boom being enough to push her away and make her fall on her face, as she was facing away from the Hulk, helping civilians move away, and so she gets a face-full of grass, "Yuck!" she spits out grass, "What the heck!?" she asks, pulling herself back up and turning around to see Thor has arrived, and she breathes in relief a bit.
Cir-El really does not want to have to hurt him, it would barely be possible, but she could hurt the Hulk, though it would mean hurting herself almost as much from pushing her limits. She stays on her feet through the sonic boom, though it hurts her ears. She does not want anyone else hurting him either, but he he does not stop himself she will help stop him. It is clear from the way he hit the tree that he is frustrated, but part of him remembers he does not want to hit the girls.
Dodge. Dodge dodge dodge is the name of the game when fighting Hulk. And Thor ducks out of the way of the bench that is hurled at him. He looks over his shoulder and calls to the other powered individuals, "Get everyone you can out of the area and then see if you can get SHIELD or Iron Man on the line. I might need a bit of help." He then starts to slowly circle the Hulk, saying, "C'mon now, is that really all you've got?" Apparently he is trying to wear the beast out.
Minoke Zavia just stares at the Hulk. "I'm sorry, Daddy," she whispers softly as a molten red patch would appear on her upper chest, shimmering with red power. She focuses on the Hulk's left leg - if she can take out that leg on a temporary basis - he could possibly be rendered ineffective. She then fires a powerful red beam, aimed right at the Hulk's left knee with uncanny accuracy. The red beam would, to those who can sense such things, be composed of both raw arcane magic and electricity. She hopes it will at least make his leg hurt enough to give out. The red shimmering patch stays there, ready to shoot again if necessary.
Cessily Kincaid can help with the first part: getting civilians away. But calling SHIELD or Iron Man? Sorry, she doesn't have either on her phone's speed-dial. She nods to Thor, though, and quickly brings herself fully back up, and then, dusting herself, she runs toward some of the paralyzed civilians to get them away, out of the park.
The Hulk is watching Thor as he seems to taunt. Before he can react his knee is shot and indeed it does taking down to his back with a rather rare painful cry from the beast. In blind rage he does get up now running straight for Minoke with a loud growl though its not that fast as he seems to limp-run.
Cir-El does not want to do this, but has no other way to actually hurt the Hulk. She powers up her Red Sun Burst and Charges him, hitting him with all her mighty strength, supersonic speed, and potent solar energies all at once. Nothing less will work, she only hopes this does...
A limping Hulk is easy to hit with a hammer, and that is what Thor does. He spins Mjolnir and then fires it into the path of Hulk. He releases it just as Cir-El moves to slam into him, and then winces, apparently not sure just who he is going to strike. He is quiet for now.
Minoke Zavia yelps as she sees Hulk turn to go after her. She tries to aim for his other knee... but she is reluctant to fire due to Cir-El tackling. She backs away, trying to take her shot when she can, a bright red glow coming from the 'aperture' on her upper chest.
The Hulk is running towards Minoke but in the middle of it, "Daddy is here!" a hand reaches out as he starts turning back into human form. In the middle of it he is hit hard by Cir and the hammer causing his body to spin like a helicopter blade in the air before he hands in a cloud of dust which settles lays Bruce rather beaten up and hurt with loud groanings of pain. "Min.. I'm sorry..." he whispers closing his eyes blacking out from the pain.
Cir-El regrets having to hit the Hulk, especially as he started to turn back as she did. It is difficult to stop when one is so heavily invested in an attack. So She hits, hard enough to damage a full hulk, but then cradles him, "I am sorry daddy, we had to stop you before anyone got hurt."
Thor frowns a little bit at how..quickly that de-escalated. He walks over to where his hammer has ended up, and picks it up slowly, "Do...should we call for medical assistance?" he asks of whomever seems to be in charge now. He's just there to take out the beast.
Minoke Zavia hurries over to kneel in front of Daddy. "I'm... I'm sorry, Daddy!" she cries out as she hugs him and starts sobbing, putting his head on his chest.
Cessily Kincaid was watching the fight while helping the civilians out, but when she sees the Hulk jumping toward Minoke, she cries out, "No!" But... Cir-El tackles the Hulk, and he seems to be... detransforming? When things seems to have died down, she runs back to the fray to see what is going on...
Bruce Banner is cradled by Cir and hugged by Minoke. His eyes do open back up looking between them, "Sorry.." he whispers lightly.
Cir-El says, "Are you all right daddy? You were kind of out of control for a bit." She is just glad she did not have to try stopping him solo, she probably could not have done it.
It is then a blue blur blasts by. It stops however when everyone is seen, revealing it to be Kaydin. "Something just happened didnt it?" He asks, seeming a bit alarmed now as he looks about as if to look for the cause of the event he missed. "Was it him?" He asks, gesturing to the man with the hammer.
Thor seems to be waiting to hear what to do in relation to calling medical. He asks again, "Is this under control or shall I call SHIELD?"
Minoke Zavia stares at Thor, then at Kaydin. "Go away," she states to the fast guy. "Daddy's just... he has... anger management issues," she muses softly as she shifts position, lifting him up. "I'll take him home," she whispers softly. "He'll be fine once he wakes up. I love you Daddy," she whispers to Bruce, kissing his forehead.
Cessily Kincaid arrives back just after Kaydin shows up, to hear about Minoke's comment about Banner's anger issues, "And not even Jack Nicholson may be able help..." the girl mutters to herself, an attempt to lighten up the situation, at least to herself, since she didn't intend anyone to actually hear what she just muttered. Other than that, she just stops by the sidelines, watching as Minoke holds the battered Banner in her arms.
Cir-El says, "A bit late Kaydin, but no, Thor was helping contain the situation. Things are under control. We will take Bruce home and let him rest. Sorry you had to get involved in a family issue, Thor and Cessily."
Cir-El suggests, "If you, Minoke, will turn back into a hover car, you can carry Bruce home at just above ground level so you are not really flying...and give him a smoother ride than I can..."
Thor seems to be fine with this plan, and since things are under control, he spins his hammer and takes off to the sky, off to go protect other folk from evil probably.
