What: Logan is creepy... but luckily that results in him saving Nicky.

Thursday evening, Old Gotham. It's not the best part of town, but at the edge of the bad area there is a pretty old store of stuffed animals. Opened about half a century ago, it is now in the second generation, and if the owner would have a kid it would go into a third one pretty soon, but he was not gifted with that. On the other hand, he had pretty much the best stocked plushie-store in the whole city.

Nicky Steiff on the other hand was just another mutie, one with a liking for plushies. And if she could afford it, she would fill Lois flat with plushies to the point you could barely enter. But obviously she can't, so she went over the bridge to Gotham to at least look at all those tons of stuffed animals she could not afford... and maybe get one from the little money she has.

Logan was moving through the streets of Gotham. Tynan got a visit from the handler now he was walking the streets. Sniffing the air once or twice Logan kept moving. His eyes moved around darkness. Breathing out he walked over the bridge. His gaze looked over the city. "What brought ya out?" he asked. Honestly, Logan was making small talk.

Nicky blinked once as she moved on, speeding her step a bit. "Shopping." was all she told with a snapping comment back. She didn't knew Logan after all, and that guy was looking like triple her age, short, unshaven... in short words: creeepy and totally the opposite of smooth Loki or handsome Axiom...

An eyebrow went up, "What the hell?" Logan asked. His eyes looked at the woman speeding off, "You alright?" Putting his hands in the leather coat he followed her in a walk just to make sure the strange, odd weirdo was safe.

Nicky an odd weirdo? Well, just a young woman in slightly tattered clothes, on the way to the Gotham. "I am allright." she responded, stepping up her speed once more a tad. Was that a stalker? Cursed she does not have a cellphone...

Logan raised a brow and watched where she was going. "Want a meal? Something?" The woman in tattered clothing seemed like she could have used something warm in her stomach. If she said harm then Logan would have stopped.

Nicky fell from a hasty walk into a slow jogging, giving a worried look over her shoulder to Logan who followed her like... Was this Friday the 13th? Or more silence of the Lambs? Or, for gods sake, SAW?! She didn't like such movies... "No..."

Stopping Logan just watched then figured it was bad to keep following her. However, he kept watching just in case. Since he didn't have Cerebero he couldn't tell this person was a mutant.

Nicky Steiff trotted over the bridge as fast as she can, steering towards the store she had aimed for. A minute later or two, she slowed down, almost having forgotten creepy Logan...

As Nicky started to trot off she saw a group of five. They were all wearing red and looked to have bad intentions. "My...my my...what do we have here?" one of them asked. Their eyes were watching Nicky as she was near. in the hand of one is a crowbar, another was revealing a nine-milimeter. They looked ready to strike at Nicky and cause some problems.

Nicky Steiff returned to speed a bit, trying to move past them "I know Axiom personally." she muttered, trying to make them go away because she knew a hero better. Not the best threat, but maybe a chance to get through without getting hit... or the a reason to get really kicked.

"Who?" one of them asked. They had the same reaction to people that called themselves "Star-Lord." The group started to move closer to the woman. One took a swing with the crowbar toward Nicky. It seemed they were trying to knock her out to take her away.

Nicky Steiff barely managed to get out of the way from the crowbar by throwing herself forward, ending on the ground. The next strike for her hits her arm as she rolls to the side, screaming up. Now was not the time to... PLOPP A tan cloud covers the girl suddenly, and collapses the next moment, condensing into a plushie, about an arm long. A Fennec Fox plushie.

The Fennec was not only splattered on, the guys even had managed to drop her in the blood. As a result the plushie Flails, trying to get the blood off the fake fur, just spreading more. As she ends up picked up by Logan, she even flails more, all mute as he drags the huge eared fennec away. Nonono! Where he was taking her?!

Walking into a clothing store Logan put the plushie in his pocket. From there he started to buy jeans, dresses and the like. He had a daughter, he remembered when she was the girl's size. The clothes may have been too big or too small, but everything was wearable. After paying for everything Logan went to the changing room. Setting down the plushie and the bag of clothes, "Fer you." Logan left the room and acted as if he was making a call.

The plushie in the pocket flails, smearing it with the drying blood as she tries to get out to no avail, and as Logan sets her down on the bag of clothes... she frowns and glares at him. How can a plushie glare? This one just did, the plastic eyes staring like in a comic. Eying the cloth bag, she pushes it to the floor, then pulls it over it to the next dressing stall before she shifts back with a low PLOPP, the tan cloud reappearing and expanding before it collapses into her human shape again, the clothes clean but underneath she is bloodstained. Grunting she rubs down the dried red as she strips down, but then she finds that only a shirt and a skirt was in her size. Getting that on, she carefully peaks out of the dressing room, hoping to not see Logan there...

Logan wasn't inside the store at all. However, he was outside with a cigar in hand. Puffing smoke into the air Logan was waiting for the girl to pop out wearing actual clothes instead of makeshift rags. Tonight had been strange for most, but to Logan it just felt like a typical Thursday.

Nicky Steiff stopped dead in her tracks as he turned to her, having noticed her opening the door. "Don't say that word..." she muttered, scarred by her purifier family.

"I'm one too kid. It's what ya are," Logan was firm in his words. He looked at the young woman and just stayd there. Waiting to see if she was going to run at those words. "Do ya know how to control what ya do? The whole teddy bear thing..."

"It's not a nice word... And it is not a teddy." Nicky answered with a snort, glaring at the guy who claimed to be something. "And I totally can!" a tad exaggerated, but mostly she could... if she didn't panic she could even choose her actual size... "Mister Razorclaw..."

"It's what we are, kid. Sorry but it's the truth," Logan looked at her. "You mean ya meant to go all poof when ya were surrounded like that?" he asked making sure she meant to do that.

"Totally. It's much less painful if you get hit and bend instead of break." Nicky answered with a snort. Which was a blatant lie, but at least true that she would not break. Usually. "And I am no kid anymore. Just someone who wants to go to Parker's Plushie Paradise."

"Everyone's a kid in my book," pulling out his wallet Logan handed her three hundred dollar bills. "Fer yer trouble." Card's inside if ya reconsider," inside the bills was a card that said: Logan Howlett, History Teacher. Professor Xavier's School for the Gifted. From there he started to move away from the girl figuring she wanted distance.

"WESTCHESTER?! What's up with that spot out in nowhere that all believe it is fancy!" Nicky did look at the card obviously, and her scream might be painful, as quite loud and high pitched.

"School fer mutants. Help em' learn books n' power stuff. Cost nothin'," Logan said honestly while prodding his ear from the high-pitched sound. Although the man kept walking.

Speaking that out openly stopped Nicky dead once more, and she tilted her head, moments passing... "Wait... What did you just say?!" Puzzles started to click... Wallpassing Kitty going there. Did that mean that that other woman she met that was working in Westchester was an X-Gene carrier too?

"What?" Logan turned back to Nicky looking at her curiously. An eyebrow was raised as he watched the young woman. "What do ya mean?"

"I asked you to repeat that..." Nicky eyed the man very carefully, the three bills still in her hand. What did he want of her...

"School's out there to help mutants out. Help em' understand what they can do. Learn school stuff, everything. I teach there. Should check it out," Logan admitted looking at her as he did.

"Think about it. Kitty teaches there," Logan said knowing there was a phone number on the card he had to walk off for a bit to clear his head more.
