Running on Water | |||||

What: Cir-El Meets Arrowette |
The Monitor Room is of course a mess with the computer destroyed. Starfire warned Arrowette about that. Arrowette unfortunately doesn't really have any techie skills! Well, outside of the arrow making kind.
Still, Arrowette can make herself productive! She actually sets about cleaning the Monitor Room, picking up things that might be useful for a techie and putting them in a box to be gone through later. Broom, duster, trash bag...these are the things she is making use of.
Cir-El tried an experiment, she decided to find out if she can run on water. It turns out she can, but it raises pretty big waves behind her. She had to stop and evaporate the waves before they hit something. She jumped from where she stopped out to the Titans Tower. She could hear someone inside, someone unfamiliar, she had best check it out. She opens the door and steps inside.
The waves are really big out there for not being Stormy! But Arrowette is a bit distracted as she listens to some music from her pre-paid phone, Milk app is your friend, it's free!
In either case, she does glance up when someone opens the door to the monitor room while she is cleaning. She pauses, "Umm....hi?" Wow...soooo young! Well, not the youngest, but Arrowette sometimes forgets how old she is. Cue awkward moment.
Well, black leather is not usually the way a hero dresses...but the woman seems friendly. She knows that Kory has been recruiting. She introduces herself, "Hi, I am Superlass. Pardon the new costume, I recently changed it to combine parts of my original and my newer costume, to accommodate a change in my cape."
"I...umm...it's cute." That's Arrowette's comment. Well, Mockingbird and Black Canary both wore black, so Arrowette shouldn't be surprised by someone else wearing black too as a heroine! Though it is typically a color for someone older. Ahem...Arrowette is old enough!
"Did...you want to help tidy up the Monitor Room? I'm not really a techie, but I thought I could help out by cleaning things up and putting possible reusable items in a box to be gone through later, you know?"
Arrowette then gasps, "Oh! I'm Arrowette! Sorry Superlass, I seem to be forgetting my manners."
"Arrowette?" Cir-El says. Well, she has heard that name, but that was in another world and time. "Well, you look a bit older than I thought you would, but the name is familiar. I guess Kaydin did not finish cleaning his half of the tower." She had cleaned half the tower before she left to deal with other business, when last she was here.
"Oh? Well, I'm here now, so doesn't hurt if I contribute, right?" Arrowette smiles a bit at that, "And..well, my age is what it is. I wouldn't say I'm an old hat at this business though." She then goes back to work, busying herself. Socializing as a superheroine is apparently not her strong point, least not with someone young. Heck maybe even other ages too.
Cir-El says, "We were...well we is me and Kory in this case. Anyway, we stopped by the office of Jennifer Walters last night to have some paperwork done. We are trying to decide if we are better off being a corporation or a government sanctioned team."
"I'm not sure the pros and cons of either, though I'm government registered, so I think the latter would be just fine as well. Wait, if we are a corporation, does that mean we get a paycheck? I thought corporations sell things, so wouldn't it be government sanctioned or non-profit organization?" Arrowette sweeps the rest of the dirt from the floor into a dust pan and then that into the trash can, well...unless more is blown out of the busted computer system. The box of potentially useful items is about half way full nearby.
A blue blur runs across the water to the tower, up the flights of stairs and blasts into the monitor room. Four pizza boxes are set down on the counter as the blur moves about the room, blue-white lightning arcing as stuff is swept up, put into boxes. Once it seems to be done, Kaydin slows down, leaning against the wall. "Heya ladies. Now that the cleaning is done, we can eat." He says with a grin.
Cir-El says with a funny look, "It only took you a few days to get back to cleaning. Of course, when the team from Telsadyne comes by to rewire the place, everything will be a mess again." She looks at Arrowette, "Shall I show you where I put what I cleaned up, if it has not been removed?"
There wasn't anything really for Kaydin to do, because Arrowette ALREADY did it...unless he took apart the computer hub. She just kinda stares at Kaydin...the broom gone from her hand like it was never there. "Umm...." She is just going to have a moment of silence as her brain adapts.
Kaydin did indeed take apart part of the computer hub, a tool belt about his waist as he looks to Cir-el. "I only started today. Just now in fact." He says as he gestures to the computer hub at the pieces taken apart which he did in that short time. He then blurs out and goes back to work taking the hub back apart.
There is a buzz from Arrowette's cell phone and she goes to check it out. A text message. She reads it and shuts off her music that is playing. "I should get going actually, personal emergency." If picking up the milk so your mom doesn't yell at you count as a personal emergency. "I may be able to be back later."
