None.
Where: Xavier's Mansion
When: May 16 2015
Tone: Social
What: Logan starts off the call for Spring-Summer break for the school. The call gets answered by students and friends -->

Logan had set up the grill. It was a six burner gas grill by Kenmore. The thing was chromed out and looked like it was removed from an actual kitchen. To the left of the grilling unit was a cutting board. To the right was a burner meant for pots and pans. Meat was sizzling as it met the hot units. Logan wasn't sure how many were going to come so it was best to feed an army. Several burgers and hotdogs were on the cooking surface. There was a plate of chicken that was seasoned and set to go on the left side upon some of the counter space. Same went with some veggies. The school had a few vegetarians so he was trying to cater to them too.

The pool had been freshly cleaned and the water looked sparkling. Today's weather was picture perfect, but a certain Mrs. Howlett may have had a hand in that. It was a nice 73 degrees out, warm enough to enjoy the pool and need sunscreen if people were going to be around for a while.

On a radio Johnny Cash's ring of fire blared...LOUDLY. Students could have been tempted to come out just by the noise and stay for the food. Logan looked at the catering guy that only brought beverages and some sweet treats, "Sodas and treats put on the table with the knives n' forks."

There was indeed a long table with plastic forks, knives, some real ones in case people needed them, chips, a few bits of dip, the typical fanfare for any large cookout. This was nothing fancy just a means to get the students a means to unwind. Logan was dressed in a pair of blue jean shorts that went down to his knees and that was it. The man was hairy, but wasn't going to burn thanks to a lot of sunscreen and a healing factor.

A small truck comes up the driveway, a panel in the side reads, "Harry's Hideaway - Catering Available." Patrick is not a delivery driver, but the normal driver is sick and someone had to take the beverages out to the school. There is a large case with all the young people's drinks, and a small locked metal case with several kinds of beer. Patrick is not allowed to handle that, he presumes the person ordering must have a key, because he does not.

Bobby hasn't had a hand in the weather but he did help out with the pool, having been tending to it since getting back from the city. One too many warm days and far too many people asking him to cool them off so he made sure the pool was open and ready for swimmers. Dressed in just a pair of blue swim trunks and sunglasses, Bobby skims a few napkins that got caught in a stray breeze out of the water and whistles a bit. "Food almost done over there?" he calls to Logan as he starts to put the skimmer away.

Josie does, indeed, get drawn out due to the music, stepping outside with a curious look on her face and dressed in tank top and shorts. That looks turns to a grin as she sees Logan at the grill, "Oh, awesome, a barbecue? Perfect, I'm starved."

Logan tossed the delivery guy the key. "Hurry it up, kid." He looked over the meats as that was where his focus was at. "Burgers n' dogs, chicken n' the heavy stuff is gonna need some time," Logan cried out. Cash continued to play and Logan kept working on the meats turning them over with a spatula. "It's a party you guys make yourself at home," he said to the Xavier students while getting it all set to go.

Once that skimmer was back in its little spot with all the other pool care equipment, Bobby made his way over to join Logan by the grill. He brought a little cooler air with him of course but he was toning down the chill while people were in less clothes. "Sounds good to me. Been dyin' for a hot dog since you started cooking," he laughs as his stomach gives a growl right after. The delivery guy gets a glance before Bobby offers a wave Josie's way. "Pool's finally all ready to go too!"

Patrick opens the cooler and steps back, technically he is supposed to card anyone who tries to take a beer who does not look at least 27. The guy who gave him the key certainly looks old enough, but he is not sure about the other two. It is a bother being a server at a shindig, not a guest.

Josie glances to the pool, still smiling, and says again, "Awesome. I'll get my swimsuit after I eat." Food, apparently, comes first. She steps over to the grill area, and says, "I'll have a burger please."

"I just got soda kid. Dry campus," Logan admitted honestly looking for the Soda. "Yer good to go if ya got another client waiting, kid." Logan even offered a generous tip of a couple of twenties. He didn't want to keep Patrick too long just in case. This was very serve yourself if it wasn't for the grill.

Bobby was quickly served a hotdog. Josie was given a burger. Patrick a burger too, "On the house kid." Condements were on the table waiting. Sliced and diced onions, a mustard, ketchup, lettuce, tomato and mayo. Everything was self serve. He wasn't going to presume what people wanted with the meals. Putting on all the burgers on their own plate he started to set down the chicken.

Patrick says, "Have a dozen sorts of soda, and I have ice cream to make root beer floats. He looks in and realizes the beer case is empty, but since it is part of the truck he had not looked."

"Yeah, no booze here," Bobby chimed in. Not entirely true as he and a few other members of the faculty had private stashes hidden away where the students couldn't get them but that was beside the point. He grins when served his hot dog. "Thanks. Hey, where's Ororo?" he asks curiously, snatching up the ketchup so he can apply it to his food.

Josie smiles, accepting her burger, "Thanks!" She stepped over to get toppings, in the end putting everything but onions on it, before taking a bite. After swallowing, she looks to Patrick, "Got any creme soda?" Then, she adds, introducing herself, "I'm Josie, by the way."

Turning Logan looked over everyone. "Why ain't ya gettin' stuff fer yer burger. I won't tell yer super," Logan said to Patrick. Sure he was on duty, but Logan wasn't the type to snitch. His eyes went around to everyone else. "Wife's doin' her own thing at the moment. 'Sides if she shows up her bathing suit might be pleasin' me then makin' everyone else blush." For Ororo the concept of "Skinny-Dipping" was called "Swimming." He was happy yet sad she was gone. As much as he hated to say it...Logan missed her company though.

Snagging a coke he takes a swig of a coke. His blue eyes looked over the rest of the people, "How ya doin' Bobby, Josie?" Logan asked knowing their names but not the hired help's.

Patrick digs a cream soda out of the ice and hands it to Josie, "Name's Partick Webster, been working over at Harry's since I helped out with a...sewage problem about two weeks ago." After handing everyone a drink, he will work on loading his burger...no point in wasting it.

Bobby Drake snags a root beer for himself once he finishes gathering the toppings he wants. "Hey, don't worry. I'm around to help chill anyone out," Bobby jokes after Logan's comment, flashing a teasing grin. He takes a bite of his food before answering the question though. "Doin' better," he offers. He's still not out of the gloom entirely but Jean's kidnapping plan helped.

Josie takes the drink from Patrick, "Thanks. And cool to meet you, Patrick." She takes a drink before looking back to Logan and says, "I'm doing great, thanks. I love this time of year. I mean, winter can be fun, but I like being able to go outside without worrying about coats or jackets."

Pulling out a burger Logan piled it with some cheese. He then toopped the diced onion, mustard and ketchup. Looking at everyone he took a big bite of the burger. Biting into the sandwich his eyes looked over everything. Blue eyes roamed over everything. The worker seemed a little familiar for some reason. Logan couldn't have put his finger on it. Still, the man kept eating the burger. Both eyes looked at them.

Josie was given a nod of agreement, "Talk at the wife. If ya want it warmer she might pull some strings," his gaze went back to Bobby. A headshake was given because those puns were pretty bad. "Wish 'Ro, Hank, Jean n' af ew others coulda made it," he sighed looked down for a moment.

Ah, that explains a few things, fewer guests than expected made it, that explains the large order relativeto the numbers present. Patrick says, "Did you want ice cream in that root beer sir?" He assumes that you younger man is Bobby as the older man mentioned that name and Josie, and the girl said she is Josie."

"Hank and Jean are...occupied right now," Bobby mutters quietly. Avengers business and all. He's not too pleased with Avengers stuff himself after being invited to sit in on that meeting. "I wish the others were around too though..." he trails off, a little bit of what's been bothering him struck. He's felt lonely with so many of his friends and the people he considers family away. Dressed in just small blue swim trunks and a pair of sunglasses, he pops open his drink and shrugs. "Maybe we should party more often. More chances to get people to show up."

Cessily Kincaid is a bit late to the party, but here she is, finally. Once arriving, she immediately heads toward Logan, while waving and smiling to everyone who greets her as she walks by, "Hey, Mr Logan, sorry, I'm a bit late." she says, rubbing the back of her neck, smiling a bit awkwardly, "I got caught up in something and only now recalled the barbecue." Yes, the music did NOT alert her there's a barbecue going on.

Josie grins to Logan and says, "I'd probably ask her to make it rain, and I think I'm the only one who'd like that." She takes another bite of her burger but nods quickly to Bobby's last comment, "More parties would be great. Nice to get a break from classes and life-and-death emergencies."

Yay, summer has finally arrived! Which probably meant summer vacations and all that good stuff! Megan's nose twitches in hunger as she smells the delicious burgers Logan's got cookin' on the pretty impressive looking grill..Where'd he get that from anyway?

She flutters in, wearing a bright pink and green 1-piece bathing suit, that only makes her look more fairy like as she makes a beeline for the food! "Yay! Party! It's about time after all that studying!" she chirps, clearly in a cheerful mood (then again, isnt she always?)

Whistling to Rogue, Logan waved her hand to come down. His eyes went up to her, "Come on down." Sometimes he hated Rogue feeling like she had to be anti-social. Looking at everyone he said, "Chicken was just put down. Burgers n' dogs are done." There was a large table near them full with paper plates, cups, disposable silverware, condiments including sliced and diced onions, cheese, lettuce, tomato, ketchup, mustard and mayo.

Bobby was there talking with Josie, and Patrick, the hired help. Cessily was near Logan, who only wear a pair of blue jean shorts that touched his knees, his gaze looked over everything. Megan was out and about in a bathing suit. Anyone that wanted food needed to come up to the grill. Johnny Cash played on the radio still as no one decided to change the music, which made Logan smile inwardly.

Patrick is standing beside the cooler, he says, "What will it be girls? We have many different flavors of soda, and vanilla ice cream for floats." He notes that the girls are pretty cute.

Finishing off his hot dog, Bobby stretches a little and heads for the pool. Just in trunks and a pair of sunglasses, he sits on the edge of the pool and dips his legs in the water. "I'll talk to the Professor. Maybe we can set up a monthly thing," he says, getting that look in his eye that usually means he's plotting a prank.

Josie looks back as more people arrive, swallowing her current mouthful of burger before waving to all of them. "Hey. Glad more people showed, not much of a party without people."

Marie's eyes went from the pool's water over to the sound of the loud whistle. She stared down from the second floor balcony at Logan who was calling her down. A breath was taken in between her lips and she rose to stand up on the stone railing, her feet were bare and the cold stone felt nice... Her dark blue jeans hid her naked feet with the flare of their belled cuffs and they slipped off of the balcony's edge... sending the girl gliding through the air like she was surfing down an invisible slide, her wild mane of dark brown/white hair flowing about her head until she touched down silently on the patio a few feet away from where Logan was and she gave him a soft smile, but said nothing as of yet, just let her eyes look around at the others and the food... it smelled pretty good.

Annual pool parties at Xavier's have become a part of Carol's life these past couple years. She actually looks forward to them. It is a way to connect to a past that she's made a point of reconciling in her own mind. Normally, she'd drive her bike out for fun because.. that thing is just loads of fun to drive. Today however, she's in costume as she soars along up high.

And then... she drops down out of the clouds and descends nimbly to poolside. She's got one of those shoulderbags that is insulated slung as she lands. "Hey Logan. It was popular last year, so I had my mom whip up another batch of her famous potato salad." she stated with a grin on her face. Seeing Rogue/Marie by Logan, the grin turned into a welcoming smile. "And hi there Marie!" she calls out. Trying to be the open and friendly sort here. She approaches one of the tables where things are set out and sets down her bag. Then.. she proceeds to change out of her costume via... well, she's got a public ID. A yellow energy ribbon passes from her feet upwards towards her head, and when it is done, her red blue and gold costume is replaced by a simple red and blue bikini that she put on before she left her loft.

Cessily Kincaid stands by Wolverine as the guy seems preoccupied, but at the mention of food, she looks at the grill, and while she isn't particularly hungry (she never is), the food does look delicious, but then is soon distracted by Marie's arrival, followed by Carol. She ponders just walking away to let Logan speak with his friends, and shrugs, going for something to drink, picking up a plastic cup and filling up with cold water before walking away from Logan, toward Bobby's direction, "Don't you dare make the pool icy cold again..." she says, issuing a friendly threat.

Megan doesn't hesitate to dig into one of those juicy burgers. "Mmm, this is sO good, Mister Logan! I didnt realize you were a cook too, but I guess for someone as ancient as you, you probably know how to do everything by now!" she flashes an impish grin before she flits over to the drinks, beaming a cute smile at Patrick. "Hi! Can I have a cream soda please? With extra cream? Ooh, and those vanilla ice cream floats look delish!"

Finally, peering around at the party, she spies the pool. Oooh lush! She's always loved a good swim! Of course she'll have to eat all this yummy food first. However, seeing Bobby sitting on the edge of the pool there, she has a wicked idea..Creeping up behind him, she attempts to playfully shove him into the pool!

"Boo!"

"It's okay if yer late. Eat up. Enjoy yerself," Logan said to Cessily. "Just happy yer here," a smile was on his face. Then he looked to Josie, "'Ro would be happy to do that. Just gotta ask her.

Looking up at Rogue he had to ask, "Bruger. Dog? Chicken's bout up. No one to beat up," a second later Carol was there. He gestured to the table, "Put it there. Don't make the boys blush. There's chips on the table," Logan looked around over everyone just happy to see people despite missing one particular person. Going back to the chicken he called out, "Pool ain't making too much noise! If I don't hear splashing I'm pushin' people!" he warned before turning over the white meat. His gaze went to Bobby and he gestured to the plethora of people. All good people...most of them single as far as he knew. Plus a few wore bathing suits. Logan wondered if he needed to paint a picture.

After a bit of grease went up to hit his chest Logan growled and looked at Rogue, "Fetch me my Chef Apron. The Good one," Logan had two aprons now. One was "Kiss the Cook. Kill the Wife," because he was a fan of Ed O' Neil. Then he got married. So that couldn't have been seen on him anymore. So, someone got him a "World's Best Chef" apron and that worked. He was going to need a replacement. Then Mega complimented him and he thought the perfect apron would have been, "Kiss the Cook. Kill the Pixie." His eyes went to Megan and a nod was given to her, "Thanks Kid." Carol, Rogue and Bobby could tell Logan was not in a pleasant mood after being called ancient.

OKAY...that girl there said something about someone making it rain, and the other one just glided or something down from the top of the building...not that he turned to look, but by now the whole area is pervaded with his ectoplasm and he knew where everything is within a hundred yards. Captain Marvel has just flown in too. He gets the impression this is not a normal school, and they have forgotten he is here. He wonders if Captain Marvel will remember his trial, if she was even on Earth five years ago.

He serves up a float for Megan and asks, "Would you like a soda or a float, Miss Danvers." She does have a known identity...

The Pixie's plan to sneak up on Iceman is ruined by Cessily. Bobby glances over his shoulder and starts to answer Cessily but stops to give Megan a flat look instead. "Dunno what you're talking about," he chimes, holding his place on the edge. Carol's arrival gets a wave from the cryokinetic and he leans back. When he notices Logan's bad mood, Bobby frowns a little and starts getting up.

Josie jumps a little at Carol's sudden arrival, though she soon smiles and waves. Turning her attention back to her meal, taking a bite of her burger to hide a giggle as Megan brings up Logan's age. She looks back to Logan, after swallowing, and says, "Really? Cool. I'll ask her some time." A few moments later she's finished her meal, and says, "I'm going to go change for the pool, be right back." She turns, then, to run inside.

Marie just looked to her right to see Carol and instantly her eyes dropped down toward the patio floor. She summoned up a shakey smile and then looked back at the woman. "Hi there, Carol." She said softly, but looked away again as fast as she could, reaching up her right hand to push her white bangs back behind her ear, trying hard to not look awkward near Carol. Rogue observed some of the others as well, smiling at Cessily when they briefly made eye-contact. Then Logan spoke to her. "Ah, a burger sounds wonderful. Thank ya for makin' all this, Logan..." She smiled for him before she stepped over to where the aprons were hung and she picked up the 'World's Best Chef' one and went toward him again with it up in the air, the loop held above his head for him to easily slip it on.

Yeah, Five years ago, Carol was Binary, and out in space doin' stuff all over the galaxy. So she wasn't around for a trial here. She may have read up on reports of stuff thought but. She grins and then sighs when she sees Marie's reaction. She is -usually- the blunt straightforward punch it in the face till it goes down.. sort, even in social situations. However, even she realizes that this is not the sort of situation where that will help. But, people are who they are. She smiles towards Patrick and nods, "A coke would be awesome. Thanks." And she asks Marie, "You want something Rogue?" as she steps a bit closer. She really is -trying- to bridge the gap here.
