| What: A few conversations have Bobby convinced some of his X-men teammates need to learn to expect some of the less expected things out there. So he's whipped up a special Danger Room session full of surprises for them. | |||||
There was a message in the inboxes of the X-men and faculty in the Xavier school this morning. One saying that there'd be a special Danger Room training session this evening 'care of everyone's favorite snowman, not another ice-monster attack promise ;)'. The Danger Room's active when people arrive and there's a 'c'mon in!' message directing people inside. Past the doors, there's a long holographic hallway leading to a set of double doors. And past those doors...a pretty plain looking room. It looks like the lounge in the mansion with all the furniture replaced with a couple bean bag chairs and the school emblem on the floor. No sign of Bobby or any signs of what he's up to though.
Rogue had learned of the training session by word of mouth from other's at the school. She'd finished up her work and made her way down to the Danger Room section of the lower corridors. Wearing a gray Xavier's hoodie with the school's logo on the back and on the right-side chest, sold blue jeans and some black pristine looking boots... she walked up to the door and passed on inside of it. "Not a beach this time..." She mumbled to herself as she started to walk down the familiar hallway and found herself in the bean-bag-chair room. "Yep. I shoulda brought my hookah." She mumbles, looking about curiously.
Rachel Summers Comes in a little behind rouge she's wearing her suit the one with the spikes.. her heels clicking on the floor , she's got a jacket over her red suit though as she walks in and looks around giving rouge a nod .. She's still out of sorts after getting her brains scambled and not unscambled .
At first, all seems calm. Investigation around the room will reveal everything in order aside from the initial set up. Well, there's a whoopie cushion or two under some of the chairs to catch some people unaware but that's about it. About two minutes in, the sound of the doors locking can be heard. And then something above. Namely several holes opening in the ceiling...and it starting to rain plastic balls into the room. A plastic rainbow is pouring in, quickly turning the room into a ballpit...and still rising even past knee level. Seems like the session has started!
Rogue was standing near one of the bean bag chairs when she heard Rachel step into the room and she turned around, smiled at the girl and offered her a gloved-hand wave. "Heya." She said to her. "I guess we're the only--" Then the balls started to rain down from above and Rogue just stood there and let it happen, frozen like a statue as the plastic balls poured all around them, bouncing off of her hooded-head and rising up around them. "What the hell?" She finally asked, but it was rather noisey, due to all the balls.
Rachel Summers Sighs looking to rouge " So just checking were not allowed to cheat right ? " She asks as she looks at the rising balls witch are hitting her so she's getting anoyed . She did smile at rouge though with a smile.
There's no response to Rogue's question. Just more balls. If the ladies check they'll fine the school logo on each one. And they're falling in fast, filling the room to the ceiling but leaving about a foot of empty space between the ceiling and balls. Of course...sharp eyes or ears might notice something else has dropped into the pit with them. Something moving throuh the balls like a shark would water...
Rogue was underneath the balls up until the point aths she heard something moving around rapidly inside of them... Her head suddenly popped up at the top of the ball pit's ball-level and she gasped. "Oh my god, what the hell." She said as she rose up out of the ball pit and floated up against the ceiling, her back and butt pressed up against the ceiling of the room. (Flying advantage, check). "Is there a snake or somethin' in there?" She wasn't sure where Rachel had gone...
Rachel Summers Sighs as she well cheats kinda.. she wraps the balls in Tk field and starts to send them back up after all it's pretty easy with her power .. Maybe she'll send what ever is in the ball pit back up too .. Who knows she's got herself covered in a Tk shield just in case .
No, it's not a snake. It's a really big snake! One slithering through the balls and launching itself at Rogue! Meanwhile, several of the balls are put away but then a sound plays loudly. A certain 'fail horn' from a gameshow people tend to watch when home sick from school. There's a rumble and something new starts pouring past the plastic balls. Whipped cream and lots of it.
Who knows what chaos Bobby Drake has cooked up but its messy. Rogue calls out. "Rachel!?" The shout loud, but not frantic.
Rogue's hair was dangling down beneath her head as she was planted up against the ceiling and felt the whipped cream pouring down onto her back and washing over her sides down around her. She started to yell now. Thats when the snake apparently locked onto the noise-making-girl and lunged up out of the ball pit at her. Rogue immediately stopped yelling and made no bones about it... she punched the snake in its face!
Just as Rogue's fist connects with the snake...the entire room seems to freeze. Snake, balls, and whipped cream. It all flickers a few times, turns staticy, and suddenly the simulation ends. The Danger Room fades back to its normal big empty room and the loud speaker crackles to life. "Uhh..." Bobby's voice comes over the speaker. "I think something broke...sorry, guys. I think we gotta call tech support..."
