What: Oracle and Thomas Wayne recruit help to find a cure |
Thursday: August 28, 2015. Thomas Wayne found himself returned from the future and immediately set out to contact SHIELD and Oracle about the situation. He warned them that the Stabilizing compound, that prevents problems with the powers induced by HAI, has a flaw built into it by the secret backers of the company, Hydra. That flaw is the people so treated become vulnerable to a mind control chemical designed bu Arnim Zola. There seems to be no choice but to break into the bunker hidden under the HAI clinic and steal the chemical that returns the contestants to normal humans.
Of course Gemstone's going to help in the raid. She doesn't fancy becoming a HYDRA drone. The purple-and-pink suited heroine is sitting on a rooftop quite a ways from the target building - her netbook currently open, as she communicates as Oracle to an ally. Because yes, under that mask, wig, costume and voice filter is Barbara Gordon.
She sends a message to SHIELD, and to her Birds of Prey. "This is Oracle, calling anyone who will listen. There's a HYDRA base located at (location). I need your help. An agent of mine codenamed Gemstone will be there as contact." If what Thomas had said was accurate - they couldn;t afford to lose, not here.
The HAI clinic is bristling with activity, someone broke in the night before last and stole an entire suite of treatment tubes, labs worth of chemicals, and hacked multiple computers stealing information. They are busily shipping in replacements for everything stolen, while using a different suite to tread the patients who are coming in. A number of doctors, nurses, patients, and HAI security agents are on site...as well as some police making sure the area that is the crime scene is not disturbed. The Break in has put them far behind schedule...
Well, Tynan sighs a little bit as she gets the call. She radios it in, and enlists the help of a major figure for this. Mostly cause she hasn't passed her Quinjet piloting lessons. She'll have to corner somebody to help her with it. She meets Cap in the hanger, and hops on the jet, buckling up in the squad seats. She takes several deep breaths, before turning on her holodisplay, and starts sending a Mission request and official notice to the higher ups. Tynan seems to have gotten much more...responsible as of late. Maturity, or something else?
And Cap's going to be flying this time, it seems. He follows her onto the quinjet. "Just give me the coordinates, Caliber." Into codename mode. It's time to beat up a few more HYDRA personnel. "And remember we're likely to have civs in the mix on this one."
Rogue was out doing her own thing tonight, some personal business that she had to take care of... The young woman was in full gear, her black hooded cloak on and the hood drawn up over her head. She was flying at a pretty fast clip through the sky and was pretty high up to avoid most people being able to spot her.
All the simultaneous chatter on bands she normally ignores - namely, the frequency the Birds use - piques Sola's interest. Seeing the Quinjet depart only makes it more apparent that something big is going on.
This is how she finds herself armored up and flying up tight to the side of the Quinjet, her voice coming in over its radio. "Room for one more?"
Rogue sees a Quinjet, with an armored figure flying beside it, passing a bit over her head. Something tells her this might be an important happening. Gemstone gets acknowledgment from Tynan and can observe the clinic, or try to hack the clinic computers, while she is waiting for the others to arrive.
Gemstone scans through what data she can on her netbook, fingers tapping nervously. She didn't like this - too many civilians involved, not to mention the innocent police officers. Hopefully SHIELD's presence would help in that regard. "Need a look inside." she murmurs, trying to access the security cameras.
It doesn't take long for quinjet to get to Gemstone's location. The woman unbuckles from her seat, and heads out. After she gives an all clear, she lets Cap take care of the hiding and stealthing part. IE, lets not park the Quinjet on the street! The woman takes a deep breath, looking at Gemstone a moment. If one looked at Tynan, she looks like a dark blonde version of the Black Widow...Costume and all. Save her's is better looking! It doesn't have sleeves. The woman takes a deep breath. "So, Civvies in the zone.", she says. The woman mutters as she waits for Cap, watching the cops. An idea pops into her head, but she has to wait for Cap to come back.
The quinjet is moved and stealthed...and pretty quickly Cap comes into the area at a run, taking in the situation quickly. "Caliber...civilians and cops, yes." The cops get some of his attention. Hrm. How competent are they? Always a question with local cops.
Rogue looks up at the sight of a jet flying above her. She eyes the jet... it doesn't look like any civilian craft she's ever seen before. Hovering there in mid air, the southern belle makes a choice to track it and follow it... "This should end well." She mumbled to herself as she flew along about a mile back from the jet and watched it. When it landed Rogue flew up high, arching up into the sky and then coming down silently until her booted feet touch down on top of the Quinjet... She stands there atop of the bird and peers out from beneath her hood, looking around at the situation this strange plane has come to.
Sola lands alongside the quinjet and quickly stows her power armor aboard as it's hidden. What's left is her light armor, but colored black and grey instead of the normal navy/green/pink colorscheme. "My packet sniffer's detecting some curious network activity nearby," she says as she follows Cap - possibly Gemstone's attempt to get into the cameras. "You've dealt with these guys for most of your adult life, from what I understand," she adds to Cap. "Following your lead."
Gemstone stows her netbook as soon as she sees the Quinjet. She stands fully, and half waves at the two SHIELD agents, as well as their companion. "Gemstone. I was treated with the serum infusion." she introduces herself. Her voice sounds high and rather girlish behind her full mask. "I'm glad to have so help with this - there was a break in at the clinic yesterday. Stole testubes and data." She gestures. "What's the plan?"
Sola and Oracle realize there is a secure network inside, probably using optical cable, it cannot be accessed from outside...however there is also a standard security network with cameras monitoring the public areas...as well as fire alarms and similar protective measures. Cap will have seen Rogue coming in to land as he was hiding the Quinjet. The police seem to only be here investigating the break in, they have a section of the building barricaded off with police tape, as well as one of the parking lots.
Tynan takes a moment to look down at the place once more, and starts getting several ideas. The woman smiles at Cap a little bit. "You're faster then me. And definitely faster then those cops. I say...Widow plan? Caught you off guard with it. I think I might be able to get away acting like a cop long enough if they see somebody running down a dark alley. The cops will have to pull the Civvies out, especially if there's a few...bangs in the area.", Tynan says. "Your call though, Cap."
Captain America nods. "That's my thought. And..." A pause. "Go for it, if you think you can pull it off. Get the cops to pull everyone out." He glances at Sola and Gemstone then taps his comlink. "Oracle, are you linked in? Can you or Sola get into their security systems and turn off any alarms?"
Sola hmms softly. She could get into the police band and send them on a wild goose chase, getting them out of their hair. But the civilians are still an issue. She mounts the hilt of the S-Lash to her right gauntlet. "The internal network is invisible to my probes. The security network is another story," she silently says over the comms. "I can write a virus to bring it down in 30 seconds if Oracle can deploy it, but I need an IP to get it to Oracle to deploy."
Rogue stood on the jet, her heavy metal boots quietly clopping on the jet's hull as she walked across it and down toward its starboard wing's edge. She looked down off of the jet toward the others that weren't far away.... She eyed them from beneath her hood as her black cloak shifted about her body in the breezes. Rogue finally spots the infamous Captain America and she now knows she's standing on 'his' plane and potentially getting in the way of some big Avenger mission... "Well hum." She says and then drops down off of the jet and onto the ground with a loud thud of her metal boots onto the concrete ground. She wasn't making any efforts to hide herself, clearly.
Gemstone pulls out her netbook. "Oracle... whatever 'she' is, is patched in via this." Sola would note that yes, the netbook is connected to a complex and secure network. "She's connected to the alarms - right Oracle?" "Yes, I am." Oracle's voice replies.
Tynan nods her head. "Give me five minutes set up time, and then I think I can give us a 10 minute window to get in there. Depends on the call speed here.", she tells. The woman starts heading down the ground. She moves a block over, using the alleys and the shadows. She sets up a few flashbang disks with remote triggers in certain spots. The idea is to give the cops something fake to chase, and create what the cops will think is a dangerous situation. She comes back around. The woman mutters as she checks her time. A minute left....Not enough time to do this nicely. Tynan moves around behind a cop...and judochops her in the neck, right in the nerve bundled there. She drags the cop into the cop car, and locks the door. She takes the cops uniform, and handcuffs the cop to the back seat of the cop car.
5 minutes later...
Tynan comes out, looking like a cop. She mentally tries to remember what the code for fleeing suspect is. The SHIELD database gives it to her through her holodisplay though. The woman runs towards the corner of the building. "HEY! STOP!!", she says, running down the block. She calls in a fleeing suspect, and the streets. Hopefully the cops on the other side get the message, and start moving. After a few seconds, Tynan draws her gun, waiting for the first cop to pass by the flashbangs. She sets the bangs off, and fires her gun away from the scene. Hopefully the cops will report in Shots fired, and start moving the Civvies away from the area, cause of a 'active' shooter in the area.
Hank Pym was there when Thomas first reappeared from his temporal jaunt.. so it goes without saying he's been following developments pretty closely. When the group moved out for the clinic, he asked to go along. From the scraps remaining, he at least thinks he could recognize a similar compound if they needed to, so he shrunk some equipment to bring along for that purpose. Since he's not really the best combatant, he's also shrunk down, probably hitching a ride with one of the other SHIELD types. "I might be able to turn off some security systems depending on what they are." he chimes in.
Meanwhile, Captain America is already moving...towards the back door of the facility. If the cops can get the civilians out of there - and he trusts Tynan to do her best - then it's time for him to go in, assisted by the others. "Priority is to get the antidote," he says into the comlink. "Somebody fill in whoever was on the jet. We also have to assume at least some of the clinic workers are innocent." Juggernaut pages: I'm sure we'll meet at some point.
The Police see the officer seemingly chasing a suspect around the corner of the building. They here shots fired, one says, "I will go check this out, that officer should have called it in but I did not hear anything. You call dispatch and see about locking down the building." The second officer starts talking over his radio while the first starts after Sola. The Police bands indicate reinforcements are being sent, while dispatch checks out of any other officers are in the area.
The police on scene quickly cover the entrances, while the site security is asked to remove as many civilians as possible and lock down any areas that have not been evacuated.
A desktop notification will appear on Gemstone's netbook.
The virus has been uploaded to your machine in the games folder - filename pgn-infinity_001. It's a universal binary, so it shouldn't matter what they are running. Set the executable bit, then upload it to whatever computer of theirs you can find that's hooked into the security system. When it's uploaded, it will automatically load into RAM and begin spewing trash data over the network, making it to where the signal from the cameras will come in about as clearly and fluidly as 4K video over dialup, then it'll delete itself.
At the same time, she holds her hand back - fingerless gloves, mind you - touching Rogue on the lips. "Shhh. This place isn't what it appears to be. Hydra's involved. Some treatment used by the place has given them the ability to assume total control over the people they've treated via a chemical agent, and we're seeking an antidote. The place is crawling with civilians, so we're trying to be careful. Up to speed? Good." Over the comm at the same exact time, "I may be able to hack their internal network or download their entire data system with physical access. I need to get in. Also, reinforcements are enroute. No ETA yet."
Gemstone blinks. "Whoa, think Oracle just sent a virus over for me. Cool. This'll muck their camera feeds." The suited heroine types a few commands. "...And there we have it, no pictures of us for them to use. Now, I think... um, you?" she points at Sola. "You mentioned you could sneak in and do some hacking, right? What can I do?"
"Wait, O, you had something..." Gemstone sends a query to Oracle's network, and a moment later gets a datapacket back. "Okay guys, I have the passcode for a secure room, and a layout of the building!" She quickly sprints around to the back entrance where Cap went, to follow him in.
Tynan takes a couple of deep breathes for a moment. She waits, and then doubles back, and watches for a second. She picks an door that two hospital guards are covering before moving up. The woman takes a deep breath before heading up to them. "Sirs? May I?", she asks. Tynan is being polite, and using the real uniform to hopefully move past the guards. She contacts Cap though. "Location, Cap?", she asks, taking a few deep breaths. She sends a chirp to Oracle, letting the woman know that she's not only there, but already working on the op. She forgot to Chirp in, so to speak...
"I'm going to wander in through the back door and offer to help them lock the place down. As soon as we have a good layout, I can go down." He's going to have to be quiet, though. Seeing the security guards, he lifts a hand. "Heard something on the police band about shots fired?" he inquires, entirely too cheerful. Just happened to be in the area, like.
"I'm still connected to your hardware. Piggyback that signal, send me that layout and passcode," Sola says via another desktop notification on Gemstone's netbook. She has a public-facing folder for times like this, one that doesn't require trying to hack her actual operating code or its protections. Though if Oracle gets curious and tries to prod at anything past that, she may want to set aside the next few years trying to get in. How many? Let's put it this way. She can probably forget about having children, the clock on that will run out before she can break the encryption and get a password. "Keep trying to get at what you can. I can hack any other passcodes on the way, but keep an eye out for biometrics. I'll need the actual data to bypass those."
She then takes off running, leaping up the side of the building via walljumps and careful use of her whip to get to the roof. "I'm going to try to get in from above and get to that shaft," she says over the entire comm. Hank Pym has partially disconnected.
The Police officer seems pleased to see Captain America. He says, "We have a possible shots fired outside. If you would escort the civilians out of the danger zone, it would probably do more to prevent panic than a dozen uniforms."
Sola is quickly climbing the building when she hears someone shout, "There, headed for the roof!"
Gemstone and Hank could probably sneak in through the air ducts, as both can ft in through small spaces, though they may choose not to. Tynan realizes the security guards are giving her funny looks...well the police are currently watching the doors to the outside, not in the halls...she is out of place.
Gemstone grumbles a bit to herself, but quickly sends the datapacket along to Sola. She's not really suited for sneaking - pink and purple aren't really subtle. Then again, she *does* know how to get in and around airducts, and it should be easier now with her enhancements. "Keep 'em occupied, but be careful. Most of these guys aren't evil." The masked heroine quickly finds a vent to unscrew open, and sneak in, careful to not make horrible clanking noises.
Tynan inwardly swears a bit. Now she knows what Mom went through with her not to long ago. The only difference! Ty is so not getting her butt kicked! She doesn't say anything, but radios Cap. "Got two blocking me. Mind opening the door for a lady?", she comms cap without moving her lips. She looks at the two guards. "I was the cop who radioed in the fleeing suspect....", she tells the guards, and calls dispatch. "Dispatch. This is unit (insert Unit number...Real number...), I radioedd in a Fleeing Suspect, and a Shots fire a few minutes ago...Confirm.", she says into the radio.
"I have it. Breaking data link." Ignoring the shouts, Sola gets to the roof, running to the elevator and opening the doors to the shaft to drop in. She pulls the E-Lash out and sets it to the fire setting. Using it as a makeshift thermal lance will allow her to get through the elevator car quickly - she can weld it back together on the way out.
Captain America considers that for a moment. "I also have reason to believe there's something dangerous in the building. Are the patients that can't be moved secure." He's not hesitating because...well. He knows the real danger is inside not outside, so he has to stall until he can get some hint of the layout.
Hank Pym knew now that "Gemstone" had ties to Oracle. And if she's going for a subtler entry, that works well for Hank. Spotting the vents he notes, "If you'd like to have an easier fit, I have more of those pills." having given her one of his thirty minute doses before. "I mean, if it's really as serious as that Templar person said, we can't really afford to take our time, can we?" what he's heard so far paints an alarmingly grim picture indeed.
The elevator doors are of normal construction, Sola has no trouble prying them open and getting in. There is a maintenance ladder along the side she an use.
Dispatch replies, "Roger (unit number) suspect spotted climbing to the roof. Possible code 666." (that is Marvel police code for Superhuman involvement)
The security guards assure Cap, "This area is secure, we have guards on each unit in case of trouble, as you will recall from your last visit." Cap realizes there is a large information map on the wall, indicating the layout of the floor...and has been here before.
Gemstone is not having any trouble with the vents, thanks to her flexible bones...and she can move faster than she could at ant size. The vent takes a downward turn ahead, probably towards a central air pump. Hank will probably find it faster to ride Gemstone than run at ant size.
"Good. Like I said..." And then he tilts his head. "Cops are saying 666. I might have to go deal with it."
"Will my electronics work shrunk down? I have a netbook that lets me connect to Oracle's network." 'Gemstone'. murmurs back to Hank, easily slipping through the air vents. "So, the room we're looking for is in the lower levels..." She pauses to pull out her netbook. "OK disabled the security cams. Ya know, I probably should take a shrinking pill. There's bound to be guards down there. Any chance you could geta peek down there?"
Why climb slowly when she can fall? This is Sola's thought as she drops down fast, aside the ladder. Her titanium skeleton won't break with a fall from this height. As soon as she's down, she starts making her way to the secure room via the most direct route possible. If there's resistance, so much the better. She just needs to find the servers.
Tynan looks at the guards. "Gentlemen, if you don't mind, I do need to get to the rooftop. You heard the call. And I don't exactly see elevators out here.", she tells them. The woman watches the pair carefully, secretly palming two of Widow's knockout disks....
Hank Pym can bound pretty fast at ant size, and is small enough that there's little danger of him making noise to draw attention, though for now he's content to just stick with Gemstone. Besides, it makes it easier to fiddle with his helmet and start asking ants in the area to also sneak in, and let him know if they smell gunpowder and how to get to any lab like rooms with lots of glass, maybe even big glasses filled with liquid. If you keep things simple, ants can be great for gathering information.
The Guards say to Tynan, "Fire Stairs, over there to the right." Captain America leads the doctors, nurses, orderlies, patients, and family members out of the building, using his presence to help keep things calm and avoid panic. Gemstone and Hank reach the air shaft, if the map is right it should lead to the basement, but you will have to exit before you hit the fans. Thomas hears a lot of commotion outside his room. Sola reaches he bottom of the shaft. According to the information you have, there is a hidden card access point here, in the area just beside the shaft. Put in a HydraID card and the hidden panel slides aside and you are in. Hopefully Sola can open it somehow...
Gemstone double checks the map on her netbook. "Okay. Here's our exit - anyone down here is bound to be a HYDRA agent." she tells Antman. "...One, two..." She simply kicks out a panel of the air vent, thanks to her enhanced strength, Door's this way - looks like one of our friends already made it down." she says, spotting Sola.
Sola hmms softly as she gets to the area where the hidden door is. Now, the bad news is that she doesn't have a Hydra ID. The good news is that she knows an old spy trick. With just concrete and steel, there should be nothing to block her from using X-rays to peek at the wiring for the reader. After finding what she needs to see, she deploys the E-Lash, making a very small but very hot flame to cut through the concrete, then she rewires the reader.
From there, any card with a magnetic stripe should open the door... like, say, a gift card from the gas station near the Banner house. At least, that's the hope. Barring that, she'll just cut through the wall with the E-Lash and take her chances.
Hank Pym nods to Barbara, though he says over the radio in case she can't tell, "Ready." he stays on her shoulder when she jumps down, turned to face behind her so he can cover her blind spots if they get into trouble. "If no one down here has an access card, can you override it?" He probably could in time himself, but the one who works for a professional master hacker is likely the best first choice....and then Sola starts burning through the wall and rewiring it. "..Guess she's on it!" he keeps his ants working closer to the area so they can keep watch too, though a camera ant stays on the front doors as well, and others are showing him the crazed gunman is.. in fact Tynan. Oh. Of course.. "Strange that the guards here aren't armed if they're HYDRA? Maybe they're really keeping to their roles? Or.." or having unconventional weapons.
That noise, it sounds so far off, and yet it's right there. Thomas comes back to from the deep medicated sort o trance he'd been shunted into when they went to start the procedure to take back away his powers. He was still groggy, still unsure of where he quite was, or what those straps on his arms were for. All he knows for sure is that sounded one heck of a lot like the exact sort of signal he was looking for.
Thomas isn't even sure how far into the procedure they managed to get, but without thinking he's already managed to knock out the two doctors who had been working on him, and come back to a stand. Not exactly his finest moment but already he's feeling that anger welling up inside of himself, that endless uncontrolled rage. And he's just spotted an outlet for it in the form of the guards positioned on his room. One finding themselves knocked right out into the hallway from his bedside.
Sola rewires the card reader and slides a card into it, and part of the floor withdraws down and slides to the side. According to Thomas, it was almost deserted 15 years into the future. You can hear sounds of alarms and shouting down there, you do not think it is deserted now.
Thomas is reacting on instinct, he has no trouble with the doctor and the nurse who were tending him even before he is fully awake. He hits the guard though, and discovers the guard is much tougher than most people he hits...while knocked backwards into the hall he promptly rolls back to his feet. The other guard is reaching for something on his belt.
Gemstone finds herself almost grinning under her mask. "Sounds like someone's down there." she says to Sola and Hank. "...Can I smash em, please?" Without waiting for a reply, she jumps in, rather reckless, and decks the first person she sees in the face. " "Too much noise," Sola muses as the door slides open, then Gemstone jumps down. "<Deploy armor. Deep black.>" The binary incantation causes her power armor to appear on her, and the 'deep black' addendum causes it to manifest in stealth mode, causing it to appear the same black and grey colorscheme as her light armor was. She jumps down, then, before touching the ground, executes a flying tackle at the first guy /she/ sees who isn't already down. "Stay behind me, I'm probably a /lot/ more resistant to attacks than you are," she says forcefully to Gemstone.
Hank Pym ers.. "Don't you think mayb--eeookaythen!" Hank squeaks as Gemstone dives down into the lower level, followed closely by Sola-- and apparently both of them now happily throwing punches.. it makes him loose track of his ant network, so if any of them are aware of the fight in Thomas' room, Hank wouldn't know about it right now anyways. He does try to get an idea of their new environment's layout-- they have to make sure a fight breaking out doesn't send any remaining cure the way of that first vial!
Well that's not exactly what he was expecting, first thing that happens is a nice uppercut right to the jaw that he wasn't exactly expecting. The man dressed in a quite simple lab gown for his procedure finding himself soon after tackled right to the ground. Head smacking into the floor with a light thunk. The wind knocked completely out of him.
Gemstone is feeling strange, something may be wrong with her...darn it, they warned her her powers were unstable...
Sola is easily able to down the first hydra guard. She notes he is packing a weapon that looks kind of like a soldering iron, must be some kind of energy projector.
Hank realizes there are things in the roof that look like the rot gas dispensers they have in some prisons up at the roof, perhaps Hydra intends to use them to stun invaders.
Thomas finds himself being overwhelmed, even if he has powers, they do also and outnumber him 2 to 1.
Gemstone probably shouldn't have jumped in like that - now her legs feel all tingly. And after giving a guard a good punch to the jaw, her fist tingles too. "What...?" Sola sees her stumble, fall to the ground as if her legs had simply stopped supporting her. "Antidote... I need it, fast. Before my powers break me down completely."
Hank Pym is actually pretty familiar with those sorts of dispensers since there was an error with one on the SHIELD detention facility recently...and since it's right next to his lab (???) it seemed in his best interests to make sure it was working smoothly going forward. He blinks. His helmet does filter out a lot of things, and Sola's a robot, but there's Barba---er. "I'm going to try something, hold tight!" he says over the radio, and jumps up, crawling into the gas system. "I think I can activate their knockout gas system--" which is exactly what he starts trying to do.
"Do it!" Sola shouts as she hears Barbara crumple. She removes her helmet quickly and puts it on Barbara's head. Triggering the facemask should at least protect her from the worst of the gas, in case it's more than a knockout gas. Then she lashes forward with her whips to get one of the guys near Hank as he departs.
Laying down on his back gives Thomas a moment of focus. A good look at the lights swaying one side to the other. Then comes what looks to be the butt of a rifle right down towards Thomas' face. However even in his current condition, Thomas is able to use what training he does have to catch it, and redirect it in such a way that the man holding it slips to the ground. As the rifle slips Thomas pulls back the trigger , and nothing happens. That's when the realization sets in, it's empty, completely, and utterly empty, and that's about to make everything much easier for everyone involved. Springing back up to a stand and about falling back over onto his fact Thomas springs a hard hitting shot right into the face of the nearest goon with as much force as he can muster.
Hank locates the trigger circuits in the gas dispenser and turns it on. He locates the part that connects to the other ones in the series and triggers them also. Sola jumps forward and attacks the guards nearest to where Hank is working, after putting her helmet on Gemstone to give her what protection she can. Thomas grabs the weapon from the guard, he is momentarily confused, possibly hallucinating from the treatment, he thinks it is a rifle but it is some kind of short staff. Well it makes a good melee weapon...
Sola looks up as the gas starts flooding the level. "I'm kind of wishing we could still have one of them awake to tell us where the antidote is... we need to get to the servers." She'd normally use the gem on her helmet to project things like floor plans and such, but that's not an option at the moment. Her internal HUD will at least help her, but will provide no help for Hank if he follows her. "I'm heading for that secure room. Maybe they keep some hardware in there."
Hank Pym answers over the radio, as he's still working his way back from being deep in the mechanics of the gas dispensers, "I examined a sample of it. I brought along a sort of litmus test to tell if we've found the rest. But, um. If you can get one of them out of the bunker area fast enough, they might just be groggy instead of unconscious?" he suggests.
The guards start falling as the gas hits them. Sola recalls there was information on Barbara's netbook. Hank is fairly safe from the gas where he is, but needs to get to the lab to make sure they have the antidote.
Sola flies forward, following the directions she was given earlier, to try to reach a mainframe. A server. Hell, even a secretary's computer would work, as long as it's connected to the interior network. "Grab her netbook!" she calls on the comm to Hank as she looks around, scanning with her infrared vision for the heat signature of a desktop computer, or one corresponding to an array of server blades.
Hank Pym replies, "My helmet's probably not going to give me full defense from this--" he hms. "I suspect it wouldn't be too difficult to modify in a gas mask, or even an air supply like the suit I designed for medical uses but I'd have to.." he ers. "Right, okay. I'll hold my breath." he says, and drops back into the hallway with a full lungful of air, searching for the netbook in question. When he spots it, he spends a few seconds returning to size, scooping it up, shrinking back down with it, and jumping back up into the infrastructure where the gas doesn't reach. "Got it!" he says, catching his breath. "I'll be right after you." if there's not a clear way to keep up through the ceiling, he's got a flying ant standing by. The gas is a lot thinner right up near the ceiling for now.
Hank soon locates the file and searches for the location, which he relays to Sola. Sola flies down to the biochemical lab and gets the antidote, returning with it to have Hank treat Gemstone. Thomas stops hallucinating and realizes he is back to moderately normal...
