Logan Meeting 1 (The Juggernaut Strategies Part 1)
Who: Logan, Bobby Drake, Laura Kinney
N/A
Where: Xavier Mansion: War Room
When: 10-6-2015
Tone: Social
What: Logan has an impromptu strategy meeting with a few colleagues

"War Room. Intel swap. Talk. We've been disconnected too long. If ya can hear this, yer welcome," Logan said over his com while he moved into the war room. Sitting down at the conference table Logan waited for people to join. Wearing just the typical light blue jeans, cowboy boots that were the color of oak, and a black tanktop Logan's blue eyes just shifted between the entrances. People hadn't gathered like thsi in a while so he was trying to fix this. Now, it was just a matter of who was going to join and who wasn't. This was out of nowhere so if people didn't join it was okay.

"What, don't check your mail?" comes a mildly amused voice from one of the entrances. Dressed in his X-uniform and in icy armor, the Iceman is leaning on the doorframe. Arms crossed, he shrugs a little before pushing off the door and walking in. "What intel are you looking to give out?"

Laura comes in shortly after Iceman, she's been trailing him actually to find the War Room, not having the best of grasps of the facilities quite yet. She's dressed in the same catsuit that she was wearing when she 'met' Wolverine, though it's apparent she had it cleaned up and mended since. "My only intel is that there is a robot that tells people you are here, Wolverine."

"Been a busy few months Bobby. Lookin' to gather intel. Ain't lookin' to dish out, but lot of us goin' in different directions. Now, at least if we go in different directions then at least it's under some kind of strategy, or mind, instead of a buncha us runnin' off half-cocked wit' no plan," Logan was surprised himself that he was the one trying to talk strategy.

A moment later Laura walked in, "Bobby, my kid. Laura. This is Bobby. He's...decent people," Logan didn't want to joke and call Bobby trouble in case Laura got the wrong impression. Also, Laura had to start meeting people and Bobby would have been a good start in Logan's mind.

"Swap typicallys means you have something to give too," Bobby counters. "And yeah...we have security issues to all hell, Scott planning something incredibly dumb, and the Professor's half brother out there again," he says. He lifts a hand to wave to Laura when she arrives, rolling his eyes slightly at the introduction. "We met. She's what I e-mailed you about, by the way," he says, stretching. As he moves there's a creaking sound of his icy armor grinding against parts of itself, and he moves to take a seat.

"Bobby is right," Laura notes when Bobby explains the meaning of swap, at face value, it seems to her he was on to something Logan neglected. She nods, "Bobby was one of my leads, when I tried to pinpoint your location," she mentions to Wolverine. Looking at Bobby in his icy armor, she asks, "does that not affect your mobility? It seems too stiff."

"Havok's doin' some diggin'. I hear he's bein' proactive too. He n' I have been talkin' strategy, was hoping he'd be about," Logan said to each of them. That was what he had to press forward. What the man was hoping for was something unique then he thought of something. "I seen Juggs fight -with- Captain American in France. It was all over the news. So, he might not be our friend but he might not be our enemy either," Logan pointed out to Bobby before he made assumptions and the corresponding errors with assumptions.

Bobby arches a brow. "The massive destruction to the front grounds of our school, Kurt's broken ribs, and the Professor almost getting killed say otherwise. Just cause one of the bad guys helps us out once doesn't mean they've switched sides," the says, giving Logan a look. Laura gets a smile though. "Naw, don't restrict anything...I just haven't used this form in awhile. Need to get used to it again."

Laura loks from Logan to Bobby, and she seems like she's about to say something, but then she goes quiet upon hearing Bobby. "Juggernaut caused much trouble for you? Did you want him killed?" There's no emotional attachment to her question, sounding eeriely like a machine seeking approval to execute a routine that it was programmed to do.

Bobby was given a hard look, "N' I've been 'round the block to know somethings ain't what they seem. I ain't callin' Juggernaut a friend. I ain't callin' him an enemy. Some guys can be bought. Not sure if Juggs is an idealist or just an asshole that comes with a hefty price tag n' deserves a black eye," he deserved more than that but Logan didn't go on.

Then a look was given to Laura, "No. No more killin'. First, rule of not becomin' a weapon. Don't kill," Logan sighed realizing the work that had to be done with Laura was going to be a bit. That was something to be tabled for later.

Then he looked at Bobby, "What's Scott doin'?"

"This was personal," Bobby replies, leaning back against his seat. "And he was damn intent on killing the Professor. Pretty damn sure that makes him an enemy," he says. He nods to what Logan says though. "Yeah, Laura. No killing," he reinforces. When asked about Scott, Bobby shakes his head. "He was talking about making a team to focus on nothing but Mutant Town and making it mostly of former students that didn't get the X-men invite when they graduated."

"It's what I can do to help," Laura offers when Logan reminds her she should show more restraint, nodding begrudgingly, before turning to look at Bobby again. "Is it because I joined the X-Men?" Laura asks, "I can go if Scott doesn't want me on the team..." it likely has nothing to do with her, she's just reading a situation with her own understanding.

"Yer wanted on the team Laura." Sitting back, Logan thought about something, "Bobby. Get me a list of wounded n' damage. Laura. I want ya to track Juggernaut. Bobby, take her to wherever he was. Let her get a scent for it." His gaze went to Laura, "Track. Don't engage the target. Find out where he sleeps. Where he goes. What the people he talks to look like," Laura was going to be a valuable tracker. It felt like pieces of the puzzle were missing to Logan. Hopefully, Laura was going to be able to find a few of them by tailing him.

"Yeah, I got the feeling you'd be joining the moment you said Logan here was your dad," Bobby replies to Laura, offering a lopsided grin. Turning back to Wolverine, Bobby holds up his hand and starts lifting fingers as he speaks. "Not a big list...Kurt got knocked around pretty bad. Claris...she used to be a student but now she's running with those ridiculous Titans..overloaded her powers or something and has been out...Rogue got messed up but she's alright now. And I got broken up too but I put myself back together...as for the damages," he laughs. "Seriously didn't see it? The front gate is trashed, there's wrecked trees and a crater out on the grounds, and the front atrium is trashed along witht he front doors," he says. He nods a bit at the order though. "Yeah, I'll show ya where we had him stored. He broke out though. Magik and Storm might know which direction he went."

Laura nods as Logan reassures her that she is wanted, she expects rejection, and it's nice to hear insistance that she shouldn't leave. "I can find Juggernaut," Laura says after Bobby describes everything that happened. "I can learn his routine, his contacts, if you want me too."

"Been workin' on a few things. Came in the back way. I'd rather hear things from all of you before I read reports," Logan was being completely honest on this one. He didn't want to rule entirely on hearsay. Hearing peopel that had first hand knowledge, raher than secondhand, was vital in any situation including this one. So, he wanted this intel gathering. Plus he would have been able to assign a few orders like to Laura. "Bobby, I need you to track down one of our telepaths. They can worka number on Juggernaut if ya can pop the lid off his tin-can armor," Logna's mind raced with other resources that may have been necessary.

"I'll ask 'em but if he's got that helmet back they won't even be able to find him," Bobby replies, thinking of a couple telepaths. "Even the Professor couldn't detect him. We only stopped him once we got the helmet peeled off."

"Helmet covers a vulnerability," Laura notes to herself quietly, though apparently it only counts if a telepath is nearby. Sounds like the Juggernaut is quite formidabble. "I understand what I must do, is there anything else to cover, or is this briefing over?" Laura asks, turning to look at Logan this time.

"No. I'm putting together a practice. I'm gonna give out some orders then. Be there if ya can, -both- of you," Logan made sure his voice was solid like granite for that last part. Soemone needed to take charge and Logan, as much as he did not want to, was taking the reigns since Scott apparently had other plans.

"A practice?" Bobby asks, arching a brow. "Alright then. When and where?" he asks.

Laura moves to stand next to Bobby, she says nothing, but her stance suggests she doesn't need to say anything. She's ready to go now.

Logan gave out the details of the practice, or at least when he was tentatively planning one, it was porbably going to be spur of the moment. Still, it was best to give the warning to keep their calendars open.

Standing, Bobby stretches again. "Before I go...we do have some serious security concerns. Like a robot telling people you're here, people who just wander onto the grounds...we need an upgrade and to really remind people not to go blabbin' about us to every damn person on the planet."

"If this is to be a secret base of operations, Bobby is right, it needs to be secret. Can't have people offering free leads," Laura notes.

"Agreed," Logan said and was trying tof igure out allt he things he would need to do to help the place out.

"Agreed," Logan said and was trying tof igure out allt he things he would need to do to help the place out. "Alright, you two got some ideas on what to do. Bobby I need ya to find me Forge or someone that knows how to build stuff. A telepath too in case Chuck's gone. Wit' Jean outta town that might be harder to do," Logan was trying to think of the telepaths that may have been around

"We can ask Rachel...or Nate," Bobby suggests. "I'll start making calls too," he adds. "Jean...last I heard she went up to Alaska but with her memory problems she wouldn't be able to help even if she was here."

"I don't know telepaths," Laura says quietly, looking to the door, "I am no longer of any help, I should go do a training session. I will get started on learning about Juggernaut."

"Train then begin trackin' Laura," Logan said to Laura then he rose up, "You got a list. Start makin' em' kid," he said to Bobby just slowly getting the ball rolling before opening the war room doors to let out the other two. It was a start.

"Don't call me kid," Bobby shakes his head as he goes. "I'll get back to ya when I find a telepath to help," he says as he heads out, offering a quick wave.
