Oswald Loomis, Joker Gang Members, STAR Labs Personnel
Where: STAR Labs, Financial District, Metropolis
When: 11/05/2015
Tone: Classic, Heroic, Gritty, Comedic
What: Things go awry at STAR Labs

The Joker, despite his reputation as one of Gotham's lunatics, does follow the news quite fastidiously, even ordering multiple papers from his areas of interest when he's locked up in Arkham. When he doesn't get his newspapers, he gets antsy, and the staff at the asylum likes the Joker sedate, for as long as that lasts. And when he hears STAR Labs has a new device for reducing super invulnerability for medical purposes, the wheels in his demented brain start spinning.

In the Financial District, at a warehouse, Oswald Loomis, the Prankster, stands in his bright suit, patting his pudgy belly. "Alright, boys, that's right, you just hook up those hoses to the sewage main...Peeerfect. Money in the bank." The Prankster grins, his eyes sparkling, at the prank Joker's paying for. At the start of the Prankster's career, he'd have done this for free! But now, he makes money for something that makes him ever so happy. And if the Joker's willing to pay for something this funny, more power to him! All the money in the Prankster's account already - nobody rips of the Joker, after all - all that was left was to quietly ship several big rigs worth of his latest 'prank' here over the course of a few weeks. Tanks sit in the warehouse, as Prankster's thugs hook up hoses that extend from the tanks to sewage mains that have been painstakingly exposed, feeding into the sewer system below.

A street down from the rear of the STAR Labs building, just past closing hours, the Joker affixes a silencer to his pistol, before sliding it into a shoulder holster beneath a brown trenchcoat. He's wearing no make-up, just his scars, and has a black facemask worn over his hair as a cap, not pulled down. His three men affix silencers to pistols as well, dressed the same as Joker, all three of them with backpacks. The Joker sees a smiley face emoticon texted on his cellphone from Prankster, and the four of them walk out of an alley, and quietly turn the corner to move towards STAR Labs.

In an office building across the street from STAR Labs, his office rented out by 'Dewey and Howe Law', a man sits down at a laptop and opens up his systems. He taps his fingers at the computer, getting a smiley face and a clown face. This computer expert, called 'Waldo' by Joker, is an expert at this sort of thing, and has been waiting his entire life to go up against an organization like STAR Labs.

. And in one back corner of Star Labs, thirteen year old Valeria Von Doom is chatting about engineering with a fully adult man with a PhD. She's kicking his butt in the conversation. Right now, she's oblivious to the fact that the building is soon to come under attack, and from one of the most dangerous villains on the planet. The Joker does *not* need powers to be a challenge.

STAR labs has been a friend an ally since the second day Cir-El was on this planet, so if they want a Favor, she is willing to seriously consider it. What they want sounds a bit dangerous, but she has faced many situations as dangerous or worse in the last year.

She is lying on a table, immobilized by heavy straps...well they might delay her if she TRIED to break free, they are to keep her from INVOLUNTARY motion. The operating theater is darkened, for this test they do not want her solar regeneration interfering. The Technician says, "Now remember, this test will reduce your invulnerability so that it s possible to use normal surgical procedures on you. As part of the test, we will prod you with needles and try to cut you with a scalpel...however since you are immune to sedatives we have strapped you down."

A bit nervous, Cir-El says, "I understand. Hopefully it does not hurt too much, I am not really used to pain."

Karen Starr, C.E.O. of a leading green technologies firm, is here on behalf of a scientific evaluation committee. The tall, blonde wears a business outfit, standing to the back of the observation area, her eye darting around as the technical release hangs from her finger tips. For the most part, just another impatient evaluator.

Of course, Karen Starr is more truly, Kara Zor-L, the Kryptonian known to Earth as Power Girl. While Karen Starr seems bored or impatient, the super human pale blue eyes and super fast brain power is examining the whole system for power flow and function. Her tightened lips the only sign of her true mood, impressed and distressed. She moves as far from the functional radius as possible as she looks the events over with alternating visual modes.

"I am not too sure I would want to be part of an experiment that something could actually hurt me." Kaydin says as he pulls a foot long meatball sandwich from a backpack and begins to devour it. "Sometimes I think the S in science stands for Sanity, or lack there-of." He says as he chews.

The Prankster titters as he hears the liquid from the huge tanks in the rented warehouse pumping into the sewer, and the distant oozing sound from below him. Gallons upon gallons of heated molasses, pumped directly into the Financial District's sewers, in the middle of rush hour! A beautiful plan if he didn't say so himself! The nearby city block barely notices at first, the thrum of life in the city overpowering the sound of treacle flowing beneath their feet. But there's a creaking sound from the fire hydrants, sugary steam begins to come out of grates, and manhole covers teeter on their mounts beneath the cars. People with more sensitive hearing, that aren't inside cars, pause and look around, feeling an ill omen. There's a sudden surge of sound, as local shop windows vibrate, as a huge wave of molasses moves beneath them, pumped in too fast to safely drain into the sewer's tributaries. There's a brief flicker from the streetlights, as power is momentarily interrupted by the treacle.

The Joker and his three men reach up to their caps and pull down their black masks as they reach STAR Labs' loading dock. "Tech." One thug steps forward, turning his back to Joker. The Clown Prince of Crime unzips his backpack, and pulls a cable out of his pack. He turns to the computer lock for the loading dock, flips open the side panel, and plugs the cable in.

Waldo taps at his computer as data streams in front of his eyes, accessing the STAR security system. He uploads a pre-written program, that begins gently piecing apart STAR computer security. A couple minutes later, the loading dock door slides open, sans alarm. Joker withdraws the cable, and places it back in the minion's pack. The four of them exchange glances, before pulling goggles on with electronic images displaying their destinations, thanks to a janitor with gambling debts and family in Gotham. They step through the open dock doors.

Rumble. It's a faint rumble, but Valeria stops mid conversation, and glances at the scientist. "Earthquake?"

The scientist is over at the computer terminal. Val's moving to the large backpack she brought with her.

"Nothing reported yet, but..." The ground shakes again.

"I don't think it's an earthquake." And? Girl and backpack vanish.

The operating room is shock resistant and has its own power supply, while Mia hears something, she is more concerned with trying to stay relaxed...the worst thing you can do in this conditions is tense up.

The Technician turns on the device and says, "Primary scan complete, adjusting to appropriate emission frequencies. You will probably feel a slight tingle when the reduction takes effect, your sense of touch should be becoming more sensitive due to the change. You may suffer some other sensory alteration as well."

The machine glows, and the glow covers her for several seconds before Superlass suddenly develops goose bumps, "It's cold in here!"

Karen watches the event, the vibration stirs her attention to the ground. She turns up her hearing to listen to the tremors and growing urgency flowing through the pipes. Her response is to draw a few of the more geeky fragile techies under the more reinforced regions of the roof to discuss something trivial.

Kaydin munches on his sandwich, trying to listen to the things. Unfortunately he has only normal human hearing so he doesn't hear anything too abnormal. He glances to Karen as he gives a grin, putting his sandwich away in his pack before walking over to her and the various techies. "Hey I wonder if you wouldn't mind helping me try an experiment, Ma'am." He says with a sly grin as he watches her now, distracted by the woman and the techs now. His pack is slung back over his shoulder.

The Prankster turns about and saunters over to the warehouse window, his portly form making him look quite non-threatening compared to what he's capable of, even though he's not particularly homicidal. Most of the time. Licking his lips, he presses his palms to the dusty window like a child looking outside on a snow day, watching as the power flickers again. Then, with a roar, a city block's worth of road explodes into geysers and rivers of molasses, knocking people over and snarling traffic as the streetlights go out and the traffic lights follow. There's shouting and panic as a near riot breaks out within half a minute, the citizens of Metropolis bouncing into each other as they try to get away from the knee high muck, running in every direction. Cars, meanwhile, act erratically, as wheels spin in molasses and people fishtail into each other. "Splendid!" the Prankster exclaims, clapping ecstatically.

A security guard looks up from his desk as the four men step in the loading dock door. He reaches for his taser, before a bullet splashes through his head with a *PWOOT*, fired by the Joker. He minces no words, in far too much of a business mood to make his murder comical today. The Joker proceeds down the central corridor with one thug, and the other two move towards a service elevator.

Waldo, in his padded office chair, moves to flick a switch on his radio jammer. All radio signals within four blocks shut down, making it impossible for security to communicate with each other on landlines, as well as snarling the police, fire department, paramedics, and any prying eyes from the local vigilante population watching for supervillains.

And...about as that happened, Val reappears. She's not *sure* about the costume, not sure about the design. She rather knows how some will react to it, but it's what she came up with. She's about to hit the intercom when radio goes out. Instead? She starts towards the window - and the scientist opens it for her. "Stay here, unless the building starts to shake, then evacuate," she tells him before leaping out into the air. Hello, baby super-heroine.

Superlass remains still, though she realizes everything sounds strange...it is like people are whispering, but in a wider range of frequencies. Oh, right, her super hearing us altered...he did say other senses might be effected.

The doctor takes a sterile needle and pokes with it. It penetrates Cir-El's skin. The Doctor says, "A bit tougher than normal, but no worse than piercing a callused area. Now to see if a scalpel will penetrate. I will use the area on the outside of the thigh, there is a pressure point that should deaden the nerves there on humans, hopefully that is also true on a hybrid Kryptonian."

"Pardon?l Karen replies to Kaydin, drawing him a little closer before shifting to play the lad under the support beam. There is a wince as she suddenly loses radio signals and hears a silenced pistol. Still, this is still Karen time yet, the arrival of Marvel Girl buys her more time to remain an observer. Her attention goes back to the procedure, concern growing as she watches the test succeed in weakening the defenses of Cir-El. Her own head shift to the side in neck popping motion. "Interesting." She says, looking around, "Anybody feel that.. Oh.. Yes." She adds to Marvel Girl ready to cooperate like most, for now.

Kaydin smirks at her and when she draws him closer to the support beam, he looks about. A chirp is heard from his pocket and he pulls his phone out. "Huh...lost signal." He says as he puts the phone back into his pocket, a more concerned look on his face as he turns to look down at Mia. "Whats the point of this anyway?" He asks seriously as he keeps his attention on Mia.

The shouts of panic are slowly replaced by anger, punctuated by a clothing store's front window getting smashed by a live man thrown through it. Traffic is snarled all over the Financial District, and emergency forces can't reach the area as the traffic disturbance spreads with the goop weeping out of the streets. Prankster looks to his goons, with a triumphant smile. "Very well done, gentleman! I will write each of you an excellent letter of recommendation at your next place of employment!" All smiles, he adjusts his flashy bowtie as he pats a tank, before he goes back to the window to watch. His thugs, meanwhile, keep the molasses pump into the sewers up, watching the gauges and valves.

Building security hears their radio signals replaced with static, and quickly panics. STAR Labs has top notch security, but this particular match-up seems to be equivalent of placing Andy Griffith up against Navy SEALS. As Joker and his henchman reach the main elevator, Joker rolls a grenade painted yellow with a happy face on it at incoming security. It hisses instead of exploding, Smylex coming out and sending them to the ground clutching their chests laughing, with grimacing grins on their straining faces. The Joker and his friend step into the elevator, placing gasmasks on and hitting the button for the floor with Genetic R&D. His other two goons, meanwhile, are in atmospheric control. One of them is hooking his computer up to the atmospheric controls, a number of cables jacked into the console. The other is replacing the freon canisters of the air conditioner with large black canisters from his backpack. They both slide on gasmasks as well.

Waldo's computer screen lights up as it's contacted by STAR Labs from the inside, via the man in atmospheric control's remote computer. There's a low thrumming, and lead gas begins pumping into the building through the vents. It's highly toxic, noxious, and also blocks Kryptonian vision as an added benefit. One of Joker's special concoctions.

Okay. Did somebody...did somebody fill the sewers with molasses? Marvel Girl stares for a moment, then pulls herself together. As far as she knows, she's the only one here - she isn't aware there are even other supers in the building. Emergency forces can't get here. People are panicking. That...maybe that she can handle. She's entirely aware in that moment that she's *not* her mother. Descending, she calls down. "Leave the vehicles. Move on foot to the west." STAR Labs is obviously the target - but the people who work there have SOME training to deal with supervillain attacks. These people don't. She descends towards a damaged car, contemplating exactly how to get the door open so she can retrieve the people inside.

Unfortunately, as Superlass knows from her training with Sola, her pressure points are NOT at the same places as a normal human. The Doctor's attempt to anesthetize the area by acupressure is a failure, though Mia manages to keep from moving as the incision is made.

The Doctor says, "The initial tests are good, the patient is able to have the skin penetrated. We will not attempt any procedures at this time. Preparing to sterilize and seal the incision."

Karen watches as the catastrophic final sequences of the siege begin. This started a job for Karen, and despite her hopes to the contrary, the attack has forced past the point she continue to play human. "Gas, get to the exits.. Move." She says with an air of command to the other VIP observers, directing them towards the evacuation points. She yanks the first fire alarm she comes to, then falls back urging the group forward while she heads to help 'Doctor Smith'. Then, time for the quick change.

Power Girl rushes to catch up with the VIP group, sealing local vents with her freezing breath, and dropping a decontamination door behind them. Then she turns about to head back towards the containment.

Kaydin watches Mia before looking to Karen. As soon as she says Gas, he coughs as he tries to not breathe it in. "Don't need to tell me twice, lady." Kaydin says as he 'runs' off at normal speed like some careless teen trying to get out of danger. Course, once he found a place to change, He raises his hand and pushes at the side of a gold flash ring, ejecting a blue burst from it. He speeds through it and soon Blueshift runs about.

He runs into the procedure room where Cir-el is in. "We got to get out of here now, docs, poisonous gas." He says with a bit of a rush to his tone, moving to help them get out.

The tanks make a hollow sound, one by one, as they run out of molasses. Police helicopters arrive overhead, discharging police officers on rooftops in order to at least try to control the chaos. The Prankster sees this, and looks to his goons, smiling. "I believe it's time to make our exit, boys!" He tugs his suspenders as he shifts to his toes, before Loomis and his assorted miscreants exit the warehouse, moving through alleys and side streets to escape the chaos, keeping quiet and careful. Well, Prankster sticks out like a sore thumb, but the rest of them blend in pretty well.

The Joker rises up through the tower, as floor after floor is flooded with toxic gas, security guards (thankfully most of the STAR employees already called it quits for the day) and the occasional other innocent life coughing and hacking as their eyes burn with the worst agony. The elevator opens, and Joker steps out, holstering his pistol and pulling out what looks like a multi-round grenade launcher. He slams his fist on the top with panache, and an electric hum can be heard as the rounds inside come to life. His friend, meanwhile, keeps his pistol, moving behind Joker and to his left as the pair move towards the operating theater's sealed door. Arriving outside, the thug takes his backpack off and removes what looks to be a computer without the screen from inside. It has a large Stark Industries logo, and a keypad. He presses it up against the door's combination lock, and initializes the device. It begins cracking the combination with a computerized algorithm, moving quite rapidly. His other two thugs, meanwhile, are already outside at the loading dock, waiting for Joker or Waldo to give them orders.

Waldo breaks into the STAR Labs mainframe, finally. Practically drooling, he taps a few keys, then there's a massive power surge, causing the building's lights to temporarily go offline. The Joker and friend tap their goggles, night vision activating.

Okay. Good. Most of them are fleeing. The ones that aren't are taking pictures. Some of them of her. Oh well. It's pretty clear at this point that this is an attempt to rob STAR Labs. Again. Marvel Girl starts to fly across the side of the building, looking for the bad guys. Oh, crap. They're using gas, which she can't keep away from herself for long, and she's not sure how much longer she can keep flying, either. She's been working on her stamina, but...

The Doctor starts to tell Kaydin, "We can not just stop NOW, we need to finish shutdown or the side effects..." At that point, the power surge hits, causing the machine to briefly flash far brighter before switching off and the lights overhead to explode.

Mia's Muscles seize like an electric line was applied to her, breaking the straps that had been holding her with a single SPOING. She falls off the table and lies there with every muscle aching.

The lights go out and Karen stops where she is. Normally not an issue, but the lead in the air has her at a stand still a moment. She steps to the nearest wall, feeling along. Then a punch burst through and she pull a metal rebar out. She focus and fires the eyebeams, heating the tip to near white hot to serve as a torch. "Hello." She calls out and tries to move toward any noises that might be people in need of rescue.

"Yea dont think you got a...choice." Kaydin says just as the power flicks off. Once he gets his flashlight out, he moves quickly, gathering the materials about to make a bandage to put on Cir's thigh. "Please don't wallop me for touching you." He mutters at superspeed as he wraps her injury using a belt and sleeve of a jacket. He then blurs out carrying Cir-el, probably blasting past The Joker and the goon as he tries to get Cir-el out of the building. Once this was done, he would head back in to retrieve the doctors.

As the door prematurely opens and Kaydin blasts out, the Joker and the goon explain looks, despite the two of them both wearing facemasks, goggles, and gasmasks, much communication is established. There's then a mutual shrug, before the highly skilled thug backpacks the Stark Industries combination cracker again, and moves to stand outside the door, pistol in hand. Joker, meanwhile, steps inside, his silhouette visible with the torch lighting it. Brown trench coat, black fatigues, black facemask, black high tech goggles, black gasmask, and an AmerTek weapon in his hands. It looks like an extra wide barrel shotgun with a huge six-shot canister beneath it. He sweeps it to face the only person in the room not cowering or running, Power Girl, and stares her down as he strafes through the room. After a step, he fires, the round thumping out and discharging a huge electric blast wherever it hits. Joker's studied Kryptonians closely - bullets don't work, but Livewire is more than a problem for them. Thank you, AmerTek, creators of fine weapons for gun connoisseurs everywhere. He's strafing, of course, to the table where Cir-El was laying before Kaydin pulled her out.

Waldo spots Kaydin leaving through the main entrance, and flicks the radio jammer off. After a moment, the two thugs begin moving through the building, pistols in hand. Their goggles light up with a side passage, an ambush route for Kaydin the next time he leaves the building.

Okay. Think. She can't last in that for any longer than her forcefield lasts - but Val knows the layout of STAR Labs. Forcefield up and she's charging into the building, NOT for Joker, but for the nearest place she knows they have gas masks. Because, sometimes you need them when you're doing SCIENCE. Cir-El goes from spasm to limp as the outside sun hits her, she is barely conscious. Meanwhile, the other people in the operating room seem to decide that getting out is a good idea...until they see the man holding the gun...

Karen watches the figure aim the weapon and start firing. She lives up to the faster than a speeding bullet, dodging a moment, but not really able to do anything but circle with him for a bit. The super heated rebar is tapped to the conventional gun toting thug's hand to remove the weapon. "I'm not the nice gentle one, drop it and beat it."

It doesn't take him long to run up the stairs into the lab where the doctors were at and soon, Kaydin grabs them and blasts out again, blue lightning making him light up as he runs, blasting back out with the doctors in tow before looking about. He then goes about to try and run back in, to see what caused this.

The Joker grabs the device off the table with his left hand, holding the launcher with his right arm. He swings around to face Power Girl, as she burns his minion's hand and causes him to drop his gun. The thug backs off, hands up, trying to keep her attention. The Joker, meanwhile, takes advantage of her position in the doorway by blasting at the door frame opposite his man, causing a burst of voltage. Four rounds left, better count 'em, Joker thinks. He's heavily overburdened and slow, but his insane drive keeps him moving forward, a rictus grin on his face beneath the gasmask. This is just starting to get FUN!

Meanwhile, downstairs, as Kaydin heads back in, there's a particular corner he needs to use. And ahead of this corner is a trip line, at ankle level. And just on the other side of the corner? An explosive mine, rigged up to the trip line's timer. The two goons watch with their guns out some way down the corner, each one inside a door frame and leaning out with their guns pointed at Kaydin's predicted means of ingress. Waldo watches on a security camera, fingers steepled.

Gas mask. Flashlight. Now Marvel Girl's moving towards all the sounds of commotion. She might not be heading right for the Joker, but she's heading for the sounds of combat. Now she doesn't have to worry about the air in her forcefield lasting out, she's rather more...relaxed. And now she's coming around a corner behind Power Girl. Oh, good. She found them.

Superlass lies in the fading sunlight, her metabolism using it to repair her system, but that system has been altered, what it considers normal is not what she has experienced before. The Doctors are deposited near her by Kaydin, but it is the technician who realizes, "The sunlight is healing her...she is supposed to heal naturally not fast heal, this will throw our calculations off."

Power Girl ironically cannot even tell it is the Joker she faces, but the device is not something she can allow him to leave with. Rather than pursue immediately though she focus the heat beams on the gizmo, aiming to allow him to escape with nothing more than useless cooked slag.

Kaydin runs back in and takes a moment to realize he tripped something. The coming explosion causes him to stare for a quarter of a second before he acks and runs two the two men with guns. He tries to disarm them, hoping to grab their guns from their hands and throw it into the coming explosion.

As the Joker feels the machine turn to slag under his arm, his big grin suddenly turns into a frown. He pauses, looking down at his gloved left hand, the remains of the device there. He screams over the radio, and Waldo starts sweating. He stands up from his laptop, puts his coat on, and promptly begins walking out of the law office, towards the parking garage where his modest motorcycle is located. The goon upstairs, meanwhile, starts using the top floor's escape plan, heading for the window above the rear of the building. One floor below? A window washer's stand hanging outside, left there by friendly insiders. But is the Joker using it? No. Boiling with rage, he pumps another round off at Power Girl, stalking towards her with both arms affixed to the volt launcher. He's literally seething with pure inhuman anger, throwing out the plan in favor of losing his mind.

The explosion is too slow to catch Kaydin, blowing up behind him. The two goons shoot at Kaydin once or twice, but are stripped of their guns and have them tossed into the fire where the mine went off. They're both no slouches, one a professional hitman, the other a Delta Force dishonorable discharge, but they're not as fast as Kaydin. The Delta Force goon, the one that handled the computer, comes in at Kaydin with a lower tackle, while the hitman, the one with the gas canisters, draws a nasty knife.

Okay. Protecting Power Girl isn't the best thing to do, and she...isn't very good at grabbing people in forcefields from a distance. She tries anyway, wrinkling her nose in concentration, but the bubble she tries to form around the Joker is probably too weak to stop him for more than a moment. Poor rookie Marvel Girl, not really ready for prime time yet.

Mia remains semi conscious, at least things do not hurt as much any more. The Doctors feverishly discuss whether to leave her alone or cover her so further fast healing is prevented. They quickly decide to cover her, and hope the device survived so that can use it to return her to normal.

Batman might have seen that coming, Karen admittedly was not expecting an obviously defeated foe to turn on her. The electronic burst round hitting her square on and the charge tazing her enough to knock her off balance. She falls backwards and starts to shake it off as Joker barrels down on her. One foot is shoved into the floor, sliding the Kryptonian back away from the madman to the far wall, where she starts recover.

The Joker briefly struggles in the forcefield, before he surges out of it, ripping off his facial attire. His green hair flowing free and his facial scars visible, it's clear that it's the Joker, despite his lack of make-up. "Do you know how I got these scars?" he asks Power Girl, walking towards her as she pushes away. He ignores Marvel Girl, and throws his volt round launcher away, instead drawing an electric baton that extends and begins sparking. "I was fifteen, going down for shoplifting. And I was scared, right?" He smiles, canting his head to the side as he jabs forward with the baton, several times. "So before the cops could catch me, I grabbed a knife from the fishing score nearby, and I did this to myself. See? But the cops..." He giggles. "They think I'm crazy. So I don't go to juvenile. I go to the psych ward! AND THEN I GO CRAZY!"

Okay, she's being ignored? Marvel Girl vanishes...and then starts to sneaky sneak sneak up on the Joker while he's monologing and trying to intimidate Power Girl. Because...just maybe...she can do something if he forgets she's there. Cir-El feels the light being cut off and starts to struggle. The Doctors realizehey have no way to restrain someone asstrong as she is here on the street and back away.

The man trying to tackle Kaydin is simply side stepped. To Kaydin everything is in a super slowed state, a side effect of not being able to control his powers. So when the man with the knife comes he runs over and begins going through the methods of punching and kicking him hard to knock him back. Becuase he moved at such speeds however, he did more blows then he probably should have, multiple kicks and punches. Power Girl rarely allows herself to get tied into human fights. She prefers to leave things in scale. "The Joker?" She mutters, then accelerates to slide clear the prod. She steps close and to the side, draws back a muscular arm and drive a punch at his face, stopping an inch shy and thumping him in the forehead, "I bet you say that to all the girls."

The Joker gets flicked on the forehead, his head snapping backwards and the clown falling comically as his arms wave in circles. He lands on his back, dazed. He's not angry anymore, just very, very...Tired. He makes a 'flumpf' sound with his mouth and tongue, just laying there. His thug, meanwhile, is already done the washer platform to the ground, and is escaping into the city, with the Stark Industries combination cracker in his backpack. Oh, and Where's Waldo? Leaving on his motorcycle over the sidewalk, over dried molasses. As for the two thugs fighting Kaydin, they're beaten to a pulp easy, laying on the ground unconscious.

And...he goes down before she can do anything. Feeling a little embarrassed, Val reappears. "Uh...is...uh...everyone okay?"

Cir-El finally opens her eyes...and promptly closes them again. She groans, "Wow, I thought I was seeing too much BEFORE. What happened?"

Power Girl smiles as she watches him fall over, then nods to Marvel. "Thanks for the back-up. See who you can help around here." Then she picks the Joker and lifts off. "He goes back to Arkham." She says and then flies out and up towards Gotham, which she sometimes thinks of as being the greater Asylum.

Kaydin brings the two thugs out and ties them up with zipties he kept in a pocket. "Cir?" He says as he blurs to her and looks her over. "You okay?" He asks with sincere concern, a hand moving to her shoulder as if touching her can tell him as much as her answer can. When others come out with more thugs, he simply looks over the others.

"Another win, I am on a roll." Kaydin says with a grin with the generalized victory stance. "BOOYAH!"

Cir-El replies, "I feel strange, my hearing is...well it is NORMAL not super, but I am seeing entirely too much when I open my eyes. I have no idea what else is going on with me, If STAR Labs is still up and running, I may have to get some tests run before going home."
