Rplog-icon Who: Lucius Primus, Steve Rogers, Aerial, Soleil Etienne, Cir-El
Unknown Blaster and Blademan
Where: Central Park, Metropolis
When: 11/07/2015
Tone: Classic, Heroic, Weird
What: A busy day in Central Park

Every day, Cir-El patrols Metropolis as Superlass. This is especially vital when she is having troubles...like when she was having her vision troubles recently. If you are seen patrolling, people are likely to think you are up for anything, even when you are not. She often suns herself in Central Park while listening for trouble. The thing is, today she can not listen for trouble, her super hearing is not working. She has a police scanner to help, but she is trying to use her newly enhanced vision. She has to be careful or she will be overwhelmed by information though, she had no idea before how much even her super vision did not see!

There's an individual who is still up and out at this time. He works in a cafe and he bakes, so early hours are nothing for him but he is currently settled on a picnic bench, using a duffel bag as a pillow and wearing a pair of dark brown boots, dark jeans and an oversized hoodie (Black Today), his hair worn in two long braids and a dark green beanie pulled down over his eyes. He might be sleeping or meditation, who knows, a golden backpack hugged to his chest.

It's Saturday! Aerial has no school! She's done her homework! Her... delivery schedule is clear, for a while at least. She pulls up her to-do list. Reflex training. Object testing. Adhesion friction testing. Ughhh. Don't wanna. Patrol routes? She should. Probably nothing happening though, the chatter is clear on emergency bands. HUD ping. Oh, there's another up here doing morning patrol. Ariel appears in a zipping line of red blur beside Cir-El. She's upside-down, feet pointed skywards, head pointed down. "Wearing the 'S'. Doesn't get much better than that, huh?"

Central Park, Saturday morning and guess who's out jogging. Yup. One Steve Rogers, although he's wearing a backpack. Possibly to make the exercise harder, possibly for something else. He's not yet even breathing hard, and he's not really as focused as some would be, still paying attention to everything around him.

Cir-El would notice an oddity as someone moving faster then a human is running along the rooftops... he's hobbling though and he jumps between each rooftop. he's carrying.. something. You'd notice behind him two other figures. A bolt of energy of some sort shoots from one of them to nearly hitting the other one in front who caught your attention at first.

Superlass changes her angle of glide to swoop down hear the running man with the burden. She lands running and says, "All of you please stand down and explain what is going on." She assumes the person attacking is the problem, but that might not be the case. She runs backwards, after making sure of the path with a glance, so she can see all of the trio. She opens her senses, focused on the immediate area, if the blaster tries to attack, she should have a chance to act...she hopes.

Soleil's nose wrinkles a bit as he gives a small yawn and peeks out from under that beanie to blink a few times and check what's going on, blinking a few more times as he sees Steve jogging past and his eyebrows raise a fraction as he takes the time to watch...that. For scientific purposes of course. (Not Really). There's a shift though as he rolls his shoulders and sighs, pushing himself up to an elbow and adjusting his hat on his head.

For scientific purposes, he's jogging as fast as most people run much shorter distances, not out of breath and has...okay, well. It's not a bad view to admire. He hasn't noticed the stuff going on on the roof just yet, it being above and a little bit away from him. Steve's still alert, though.

The black clothed figure keeps running (Director) with the apparently suitcase in hand. His right leg looks like it's been hit by one of those plasma bolts and blood drips once that roof top before he leaps to the next. The two figures seem to vanish a moment... and then they reappear on the next rooftop right in front of Lucius.. literally skipping the rooftop Cir-El was on. they are only maybe a rooftop away from central park. The other figure slices a blade through the air towards Director who blocks it with the suitcase before he uses the fellow as leverage to leap towards Central Park.

Cir-El is momentarily disoriented as she sees the two figures travel through...well she has never seen it before and so she can not explain what she just saw. She is, however fast enough to get to where the two teleporters are VERY fast, literally in the blink of a human eye. She concentrates as she moves on what she wants to do, electrical plasma burst on human neural frequency to paralyze and/or stun the target. She aims at the blaster...not being experienced enough at this to hit more than one person. She is sorry she did not have time to answer the woman who was flying beside her a moment ago. Some things take priority.

Down on his bench, Soleil manages to look up for a few moments, blinking several times before going back to trying to continue tracking Steve. He can appreciates that type of discipline. He carefully checks his watch, squinting at the time.

Aerial pauses to call in the incident on her comm, and then flies a quick square around the block checking to see who might be below on the streets, before she's back at rooftop level watching teleporters and blasters. The upside-down teen takes two blinks instead of just one to get back to Cir-El and the other two figures. She holds a canister of pepper spray in her right hand. With Cir-El handling the one, Aerial goes after the other. "Hi! I'm Aerial. Which of you guys wants to explain... what I'm generously assuming is live fire laser tag parkour between invulnerable friends?"

...and NOW Steve notices something. A flash, perhaps. He slows to a walk, looking up towards the rooftop. Soleil will note times as fast as any Olympic athlete - whoever this guy is, he's fit.

The blaster is zapped and as he falls.. The other guy vanishes again to places unknown, but not unknown as he's behind Cir-El with a blade of some kind ready to strike her from behind.

Cir-El is pleased that the attack worked. She sees the other one go...wherever...and tracks him to where he is going, reacting by dodging just as he appears, though she is a bit slow (for her) and the blade cuts her slightly

Okay, flash of light and noises that are not the normal and Soleil is up on his feet rather quickly, looking up towards the building in question and blinking several times as he tries to get a better look. The baker climbs up on the bench and shields his eyes with a hand to get a better look.

Aerial looks up as the guy in front of her vanishes. "Teleporter! And..." A camera pops out from the side her her helmet and swivels around to point behind Aerial. When the teleporter reappears again with a blade, behind Cir-El, the camera beeps, a little vector appears on Aerial's HUD, and still upside-down the girl blurs over and begins the pepper spraying. "Whoa there! NO. Down! BAD stabby man!"

Guy jumps down from skyscraper. And keep running. Steve tugs on the backpack, and then runs towards him, suddenly-revealed shield first. See, Soleil. No WONDER he was clocking amazing times.

The Director searching eyes sees the Shield from the Avenger and he begins to hobble over to him... at a near human sprinting speed so it look odd. The Teleporter who attacked Cir-El literally vanishes right after he completes his slash of the girl, he reappears behind the Director now.. though it wasn't directly behind this time. "Thief, Give us the Briefcase."

The blaster guys shakes his head from his fallen position as he seems to stay conscious. He aims a arm at Cir-El, "Enough girl... Trying to catch that thief. Don't make me shoot you."

Cir-El replies, "Until I know who and what and why, I will not stand by and let you attack." She rushes to the edge of the roof, swings herself over, and runs down the side of the building as long as she can keep contact. She could run faster than she can fall, if she had a way to keep her feet on the building, but as it is it takes her a few seconds to reach the ground, and the man with the briefcase.

Mmhm. Soleil squints for a moment before he flips up his hood, a hand moving to a hoodie pocket and then reaching up into the shadows of his hood as he turns away, painting around his eyes with the dark paint before he shrugs on the golden backpack and snatches up his duffel. He's no Captain America, but the little man seems like he can move as well, tossing the duffel bag over the picnic bench before jumping over it himself quite acrobatically, grabbing it back up and running in the direction that Steve was running.

Aerial is then left alone with the blaster. Who pointed his blasty arm threateningly at Cir-El? Pretty sure that makes him a bad guy too. Aerial trades the pepper spray for a bouncy ball and keeps her distance from him. "Hey. Look. You must be new in town. Threatening people with the 'S' on their chest generally isn't gonna end well for you. I'm surprised the /big/ S didn't see you cut her and show up to let you know how bad you dun goofed. You want the stuff back? You'll cooperate and stop fighting, and we'll make sure you get it back once everything's all sorted out and we have the full story."

Captain America steps over to the man with the briefcase. "Fill me in. Quick." He's not going to let anyone else get shot and the fact that the "thief" ran *towards* him rather than away, probably means whatever he stole was something that needed to be liberated.

The Director quickly speaks, "DNA samples from Metas in Mutant Town. I found them at Zica Corp's HQ, and they make drugs... I don't think it was to help them." He glances back at the Teleporter, who grumbles, "He'd say anything to save his ass."

The Blaster on the rooftop doesn't shoot Cir-El as she jumps off the building... he just looks down from above and sighs, he holds his hand over his ear as he talks, "Stuck on this building here.. Hey Boris, you gonna grab me?" He hears Aerial and grumbles, "She was delaying us."

Currently lacking enhanced hearing, Superlass is unable to tell what was said to Captain America, but she recognizes his shield and stops beside him. There is a shallow cut on one arm, but it is already stopped bleeding as the sun helps her body repair itself. She says to the man with the briefcase, "Stand down, we will protect you if needed." She adds to the man with the sword, "Put away the weapon and explain. Combat without cause is just chaos."

Soleil's eyebrow raises as he stays a few feet behind Captain America, shifting his weight from foot to foot as he tries to listen in carefully, head tilting from one side to the other.

Aerial nods a little to the blaster. "Yeah, you know what a good person's response is when heroes show up? Oh hey miss hero! Sure we'll stop shooting! Help us get the thing back please! And then we go chase the thief together. You know what a lying bad guy does? Doesn't call it in, tries to get everyone out of his way, and threatens the heroes. Attacking someone because they were 'delaying you'. Really." She offers her hand. "I'll carry you down. We'll get this all sorted, kay?"

Aerial has a point. "Alright. I'll keep you covered." He glances at Cir-El. She's not a bad kid, and he's unaware that she's having all kinds of power issues right now. "Alright. We'll verify his story later. And theirs." He turns. "Stand down. Everyone. Now."

The Teleporter grumbles... he vanishes from the location he's at and reappears next to Blaster on top of that skyscraper, "Missed me?" as he touches Blaster's shoulder..

Director nods and presents the suitcase to Cap. He comments, "Mercenaries.. are wonderful ain't they."

The attackers stage a strategic retreat, probably having decided that the odds are against them. Well, that is probably true. Superlass us not invulnerable any more, otherwise that blade probably would have not penetrated her skin, but with practice she might be able to anticipate where someone is teleporting to...that will be useful. She says, "Greeting Captain, it is good to work with you again." Soleil is the bystander here, looking between Cap and the building and Cap and then building and the people up there and then back to Cap and the Director. He shifts his weight from one foot to the other before offering carefully. "Ah...when you are all finished doing the ting with the heroics, please stop by the cafe for your breakfast or some coffee." A small bow from the Frenchman.

Aerial sighs as the teleporter reappears. "I should be disabling you both and dragging you in, but it's not worth the commotion. Smile for the camera. You're sloppy and whoever sent you needs to think better of it." With that she zips down to meet with the others. Tossing Cap a salute.

Steve Rogers smiles at Soleil. "I'll remember that." Good coffee is always worth hunting down, after all. The Sentinel of Liberty then turns back to Director. "I *hope* you're telling the truth, although their behavior..."

Director hands the suitcase over to Steve, "If that's not your shield.. then some people will suffer for giving you this suitcase. Just tell those who need to know about this company. The DNA of the those in mutant town are in here, along with a few other pieces of paper from the company. Hopefully enough to make them give an account at least."

The two vanish off the skyscraper with poof... as the teleporter swishes them away. They perhaps were a little obvious but honestly, they were hired to protect the secrets of the corp, they probably are fired and will be denied to ever been paid by the corp.

Cir-El says, "I might be able to follow them, should I try, or will getting these samples and papers into the right hands suffice?" OK, so she normally tries to project confidence, but she is only 15 going on 16 and will defer to Cap.

Aerial tilts her head at the briefcase and frowns. "Mutant DNA samples. Ugh. I doubt those were obtained with permission." She sighs. "Hey, did you know about the mutant whose power is to infect people with his DNA and then he can control their body from where he is? Yeah. We should... uh... this stuff probably need destroyed, if it's what you say."

"I'll take care of it." Steve has the suitcase. SHIELD can handle it from here. "If this is enough evidence, then we'll set the FBI on them or whoever is appropriate." It sounds like a promise.

Lucius Primus nods a bit, "I.. trust you." as he feels for the wound on his leg which is healing fairly quickly.. he sighs, "I just hope the government can be trusted at times... Thank you." he bows a bit.

Cir-El says to Cap, "I need some more training, I will explain why when we get to it. Hopefully we can get together for that soon. I have a patrol to finish, but I will look out for you. Believe me, I will see if you are in trouble before you deliver the briefcase."
