Cessily Kincaid has gone through a dramatic X-Gene activation that turned her body into inorganic, liquid metal. Shunned by her friends and despised by her parents the young mutant was sent to the Xavier Institute, something her family was all to eager just so they could get rid of their once beloved daughter.

Power: Amorphous Body (4)

Made of living, non-toxic metal, Mercury can morph and shift her body into a range of shapes. She can stretch and flow and move in ways that the Terminator would be jealous of. Much to her chagrin, she can't change her shading.

Power: Metal Body (4)

It might be amorphous, but Cessily's still metal, which makes her more resistant to damage than a run of the mill human, although not as much as a full-on brick.

It's not all bad, being inorganic mercury. Her radically changed makeup makes Cessily immune to diseases - there's nothing to infect - and no longer needs breathe or to eat, although she doesn't quite realize the last, and continues to do so.

Magic and Telepathy depend on living creatures to interact with and now, thanks to her mutation, Cessily isn't strictly living. Magicians and telepaths find her just a bit more difficult to deal with, and she can resist entirely those at the novice level, such as her classmates.

Her amorphous structure allows Cessily to form her body into various shapes, from big stompy feet to her favored arm-scimitars, to wrapping her body around others to ensnare them.

As a student a the Xavier Institute, Cessily has been rigorously trained in self defense. She's even gotten in some scraps.

Flaw: Electricity

Thanks to her metallic form, Cessily's particularly vulnerable to electrical discharges. One solid electrical hit can dissolve her into a puddle.

Flaw: Obvious Mutant

No doubt she's a mutant. It's written all over Cessily. It's driven her from her family and makes going out tough.

Flaw: Separation Anxiety

Having been rejected by her own parents, from what had been a close family, Cessily's notably anxious about winding up outcast again. She'll tend to want to prove her loyalty and that can make it easy for her to be manipulated her less than scrupulous peers.

History[]

Cessily finishes lacing her shoes and stands up. She sees herself staring at herself in the mirror. A silver hand gingerly pokes at a loose strand of hair. The hair. She's never understood the hair. Why did that stay when everything else about her changed? Stupid, taunting hair. Cessily twirls it slowly in her fingers. Professor McCoy said it was something subconscious, an terrible idea, since it would mean that Cessily wanted to be a freak. She never did and never has. A deep breath - an unnecessary breath, in reality - and Cessily picked up her bag, then stepped out into the hall. She put on a smile. "Oh, hey, Nori! Nori!" she calls, picking up to a slow run. "How'd you do with the calc homework?"
