Background
- Piotr was born in 1987 to Nikolai and Alexandra Rasputin. He's the second son. Raised on a farm, he worked hard and grew tall and strong but found farm life lacking.
- His mother's brother, Grigoriy, was a worldly city dweller who Piotr found fascinating. They became close and when Piotr discovered he was a mutant, he told his uncle instead of his much more traditional parents.
- When Piotr's father discovered him in bed with another boy, he did not take it well. Piotr ended up living with his uncle though he maintained close contact with his mother and little sister. Just not when his father was nearby. He began working for Grigoriy, a member of the Russian mafia, and learned how to navigate the seedier side of society.
- When the Russian version of Weapon X discovered Piotr was a mutant just like his brother Mikhail, Grigoriy smuggled him out of Russia. He continued his work with the mob in NYC until he was contacted by Professor X.
- Deciding that he'd rather be a hero than an enforcer, he accepted. His parents now know what he is when, on a visit back to Russian, he publically carried an incapacitated submarine off the ocean floor, rescuing everyone aboard and earning the gratitude of the Russian government.
Abilities
Skill: Combat Training (5)
On joining the X-Men, Piotr's received training from senior members of the X-Men in tactics and strategy. He's also an excellent hand-to-hand combatant, having received training in that area from various X-Men as well.
Power: Organic Steel Form
Piotr's greater strength and toughness only apply when he is transformed into his metal form. He can remain that way for an unlimited amount of time even while unconscious. While transformed, he has no need to eat, drink or breathe and can withstand extreme temperatures. He can exert himself at peak capacity for at least several days.
Skill: Piloting (5)
Piotr's learned to pilot/drive various types of vehicles over the course of the years. This ranges from heavy farm equipment, cars and trucks and also small and medium aircraft the size of the Blackbird.

Advantages
Advantage: Artistic
Though untrained, Piotr is naturally artistic. Over the years, he has used art - specifically painting - as a means of destressing and has honed his talent. He's skilled enough that he could probably make a living at it if he tried. He also has an excellent singing voice.
Advantage: Multilingual
Russian is Piotr's native language though he's also fluent in English. He's picked up Japanese and German since joining Xavier's.
Advantage: Streetwise
Before being recruited by Professor X, Piotr was a member of the Russian mob. He still has ties to them via his uncle back in Russian as well as having worked for them in New York City after he came to America. While he no longer works for them and has 'persuaded' them to leave him alone, he's no stranger to that way of life and knows who is whom as well as how to navigate the ins and the outs of that way of life.
Advantage: Xavier's
As an instructor at Xavier's school and a member of the X-Men, Piotr can call on many resources including, but not limited to, equipment, information and manpower. Of course, he can be called on in turn.

Flaws
Flaw: Dual Form
Only when Piotr has transformed is he super tough, super strong and super durable. Otherwise he's just a normal flesh and blood human... granted an incredibly fit, strong and exceedingly handsome one.
Flaw: Loyal
The phrase 'loyal to a fault' could have been invented to describe Piotr. While loyalty is usually and rightfully considered to be a merit, when Piotr gives his to someone or something it is unconditional. It takes a lot to change that and the process, if it ever happens, is long and traumatic. And, of course, this also applies to his family.
Flaw: Mutant
Piotr's a mutant and carries the X-Gene. He's also known as a mutant to the Russian mob as well as the Russian government. He gained acclaim and notoriety by rescuing an endangered Russian submarine from the bottom of the ocean so might be recognized by almost anyone when he's transformed.
Flaw: Rage
It doesn't happen often but when Piotr loses it, he really loses it. More like C4 than nitroglycerin, he's not quick to blow but when he does it's explosive.
Flaw: Underworld Ties
The Russians know who he is and what he can do. Even though Piotr quit and used diplomacy and force to persuade them to leave him alone, is it ever possible to fully leave the mafia?
Flaw: Weak Spots
While Piotr's eyes do transform as well, they're not as super tough as the rest of him. This leaves him vulnerable to directly applied pressure (as opposed to that of vacuum or the sea floor, as examples). Also, as a side effect of his transformation, extremely loud sound tend to be amplified instead of dampened by those metallic ear canals. So while he has very good hearing, it's too good when it comes to sonic based powers.
