Risque

Gloria, at first glance, seems like a very simple woman to figure out. On the surface? the persona she shows everyone, she's a selfish, distant and cold woman who thinks of no one but herself and the next job. Whether this is who she truly is or not is only for a very, privileged, few to know.

While she has 'turned over a new leaf' so to speak, she still works as a Thief and Merc but she now has a level of morals and honor, known only to her, that she strictly adheres to.

Through the same manipulation of a gravitation field, Risque can create blasts of psychokinetic energy.

Power: Inorganic Imposions (7)

By placing a gravitronic charge within an object via the creation of a gravity field, Risque can compress the object into a high-density yet small mass and then propel the charge at high speeds. This also gives her the ability to implode said object or cause it to disintegrate completely.

Power: Telekinesis (2)

A low level of this, she can't propel anything heavier than about five hundred or so pounds. This is used in conjunction with Imposions most of the time and is what allows her to hurl the objects at her targets.

Skill: Athletic (2)

Athletic by nature, Gloria has a very high endurance which, when pushed to her limits, would allow for rigorous training for approximate eighteen straight hours before her body gave out and she passed out from exhaustion.

Skill: Escape (6)

Risque is a wonderful escape artist. A skill bred from necessity and years upon years on the street and as a thief, she has learned to find a way out of almost any bind or bit of trouble she finds herself in. There is, after all, always a way out and she's adept at exploiting it.

Skill: Fighter (3)

Gloria has never been one to accept anything less than best. Especially from herself. It's this drive for self-perfection that has caused her to push her body to it's peak. She's able to do this through her training in Kick-Boxing, her advanced street fighting and a rigorous workout routine. Why does she do this? No just for herself but because in her profession, you can't be at anything less than the top of your game. It'll get you caught. It also keep her agile and lithe.

        This rating is for both her Toughness and her Agility.

Skill: Lockpicking (7)

A thief's skill that Gloria learned early on in her 'career' as a thief and spent a great deal of time perfecting over the years. She can pick a lock with a kit or any number of things just laying around. She has even been known to use two hair pins in a pinch.

Skill: Street Time (6)

Thanks to all her time on the streets, as well as her profession, Gloria has learned to be extremely perceptive and built up an amazing will to do what must be done. To the point that there is little she misses and has even turned the most important person in her life to someone who intended to use him for unknown purposes.

        This rating is for both her Willpower and Perception.

Between her father teaching her kick boxing and her life on the street teaching her to fight in other manners, Gloria is quite the fighter in hand-to-hand combat. She's a fast learner and took to unarmed fighting very well!

As a thief for hire, Gloria knows where to go to sell goods that clients decide they don't want after the job is done. This is also how she finds potential employment as well as word of mouth.

Her years as a thief and mercenary have given her quite the cushioned bank account, the total currently sitting at around $150,000. She never allows this to drop $75,000 before taking on another job.

Flaws

Flaw: Distant

Likely bred of her distrust of people and her desire to protect herself, Gloria often, if not always, keeps herself emotionally distant from others. She makes no effort, normally, to make friends or allow anyone close to her.

Flaw: Distrustful

Gloria's early years on the street as well as her broken home life have left the woman distrustful others. Her outlook being that everyone is out for themselves and will hurt you to get their way without any thought.

Flaw: Selfish

Over the years, Gloria has become a selfish woman for the most part. She looks out for herself first and foremost with very few exceptions to this and will almost always do whatever is necessary to make sure she gets what she wants.

Flaw: Wander Lust

She hates staying in one place too long. Perhaps it's a fear of getting caught or being attached. Or maybe she truly she prefers to travel. Whatever the reason, Risque never stays put for long.

History[]

Gloria Munoz comes from a broken home that, like most, wasn't always broken. Her father was a Cuban kick boxer with his own training shop and her mother was a successful Seminole nurse. Her parents were once once deeply in love with one another. So much so that Gloria even has two younger brothers.

She was a happy child in general and Daddy's little girl, she was. As she grew, he began teaching her Kickboxing as a form of self-defense, wanting her to be prepared for anything in life with her brothers learning right along with her. She took to it well, her natural endurance and agility helping her along nicely.

However, like all good things, this too had to come to an end. At around the age of thirteen, her parents began fighting all the time and as a result, Gloria began to withdraw in on herself until she was so distant that by the time to divorce came at the age of sixteen, she was able to run away with little hesitation. Her only concern for her brothers but that was quickly pushed aside and buried deep.

For years, she managed on her own, becoming a thief, first by necessity to live and then as she gained the needed skills to be considered very good, she did it to live comfortably. She never kept what she stole though and never stole because it was something she wanted. Instead, she was a contract thief, stealing what others wanted and selling it to them for a nice profit.

It was these years that also taught her the art of seduction and how she could flirt her way to a higher price and even to get her out of a few tight spots. She had made her way to Miami, where she discovered her mutant powers by accident on a job which botched it and cost her a fair bit of money. Here, she found herself in trouble. It was a man named Sledge that got her out on the agreement that she do him a favor one day.

And he called in that favor when she was asked to bring a specific mutant to him. She did so but at a great personal cost as in the process. She had fallen in love with him. Worked her way into his life and somehow he got into her heart. He was also part of a team, which she had been a part of with him briefly, and just barely escaped them after delivering him to Sledge and even then it was only after leading them to him.

After that, she disappeared for a while, gained better control of her powers and began work as a mercenary as well. Eventually, she returned to her life as a contract thief, a position she's more comfortable in.
