Overview[]
Finesse is a polymath, she excels at everything she touches, and can replicate any feat so long as it doesn't require otherworldly powers to perform. She is, however, deficient when it comes to understanding humans. Expect awkwardness around her. She also graduated from M.I.T. as a 14 year old, earned a spot on the US Olympic Gymnastics Team, and claims she never makes mistakes.

Willpower: Jeanne's willpower is rated 4
Jeanne is a polymath, and with a combination of her Eidetic Memory and Photographic Reflexes, has mastered a wide ranges of skills while commanding vast knowledge. She has graduated M.I.T. at 14 years old and is considered a genius.
With her Eidetic Memory, there is little that Jeanne doesn't notice, she is very perceptive and is likely to notice even minor details such as a pen having been misplaced since the last time she was in her room.
Jeanne is driven by logic, and is somewhat detached from her emotions, and has a hard time comprehending emotions, in herself and others in general. She can recite definition of emotions, and identify certain behaviors as written in Psychology texts, but lacks a real understanding. As such it is hard to shake her and sway her from her goal, as she carries herself with determination derived by logic. If a course of action she choose makes the most sense, Jeanne will not be hesitant because of fear or worry, as those are illogical reasons. For the same reason, she can also be reckless.
Gifted with Eidetic Memory, coupled with her solid understanding of psychology and behavioral science, Finesse is more often than not able to tell when someone is lying to her face. Usually it's because she perfectly recalls the true facts from previous interactions, but in other cases it could stem from minute facial expression, tone and inflection.
Attribute: Physical Peak (3-4)
Dexterity: Jeanne's dexterity is rated 4
Strength: Jeanne's strength is rated 3
Toughness: Jeanne's toughness is rated 3
Jeanne has extensive training in martial arts, weapon fighting forms and Olympic level gymnastics. She is at peak physical condition, her speed, stamina, strength, endurance, agility and flexibility are sure to impress any who sees her as a science nerd teenaged girl.
Gear: Fake Id
Being 15 year old poses many constraints on Jeanne, to reduce these constraints as much as possible, Jeanne used her skills to create a perfect fake identification card for herself that lists her as 21 years old. While it can fool the occasional careless person carding her, the more astute ones would no doubt tell she looks far too young to be 21, so it's a 50 / 50 gamble every time she tries it.
Gear: Laptop
Jeanne has procured for herself a state of the arts laptop, she uses it mostly for all of her research and hacking purposes.
Gear: Weapons (2)
As a high level martial artists with vast competition recognition, Jeanne has access to martial arts weapons despite her age. In her Finesse costume she carries twin katana sheathed in an X formation across her back.
Along with her twin katana, Jeanne also carries combat batons, one connected to each of her thighs in her Finesse costume.
Skill: Emt Training (4)
Jeanne has undergone EMT Training so she can treat her own injuries as well as assist others when her presence can be the difference between life and death and there's no time to wait for help to arrive. She figured with how dangerous the world is, that is one skill that not only she can benefit from, but others as well. It's not that she goes out to volunteer her services as a medic, it's just another skill that she knows, and if she happens to be nearby when needed, she can offer her assistance.
Skill: Gymnastics (8)
To be qualified to the Olympics in Gymnastics a gymnast must reach elite level, that is hard enough to do with a lifetime worth of training, Jeanne accomplished it by simply deciding to excel in the sport post-graduation from MIT. While she likely would have done very well in the Olympics, constant accusation of performance enhancing powers and never ending test for mutant gene and such brought Jeanne to give up on the Olympics.
Skill: Hacker (7)
Jeanne is a hacker in the truest sense of the word; she knows almost all there is to know about computers, she handles them as if they were her body limbs. She has a much easier time communicating with computers than she does with humans. She can write her own programs, alter programs written by others, improve and optimize almost any computer, and naturally also break into the most secure systems. Given a state of the art computer, Jeanne is a lethal weapon. She is one of those who would take offense at a cracker being referred to as a hacker, since there's so much more to learn, so much more to master and crackers clearly don't know any better. While she may not be able to hack into Tony Stark or Reed Richard's computers, she can do just fine with the likes of NSA, CIA, FBI, etc'.
Skill: Languages
To be able to get around in most places she'd care to go to, Jeanne has picked up a wide set of languages such as French, Italian, Russian, Spanish, German, Cantonese, Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, Hebrew, Arabic and Latin. If there is a language that she doesn't know, she could pick it up easily just by reading online databases of translation services.
Skill: Lip Reading
From a very young age Jeanne didn't like it when grownups were talking about her without letting her be part of the conversation, to that end she picked up on lip reading so she'll be able to tell what is going on even when she's sent away from the room, left to look on from afar. This skill comes in handy every now and then, and it's not out of the realm of possibility that espionage agencies would try to recruit her somewhere down the line.
Skill: Martial Arts (7)
While Jeanne initially entered the world of martial arts because her parents wanted her to win them money at various competitions, doing remarkably well to the point she was allowed to participate in boys events, she later in life adopted martial arts as a way of self-defense. Jeanne made it a point to learn, or observe martial arts instructors, Chinese people at the park early in the morning, and watch fighting tournaments on television, taking advantage of every avenue to learn as much Martial Arts styles as she could. Her skill level matches the levels of a lifetime of Martial Arts, but the difference comes in experience, which is something she will still need to gain on her. She has the moves, but not necessarily the best knowledge on when to use them. She would easily best inferior fighters, but a true Master will find weaknesses in her lacking experience to best her.
Skill: Omni
Limitation: Jeanne can be as good as the person she sees when she picks up a skill. So if she learns something from an average skilled person, she will be average, until she can see a master at work, and then her ability will be at master level.
With her photographic reflexes and photographic memory, Jeanne is omni-skilled in every sense. She only needs to see an expert at work to gain expert level mastery of any particular skill, this makes her learning vast and fast. Mathematics, Business, Finance, Literature, Art, Science, Philosophy are just some of the subjects she can partake in without looking out of place in academia or industry. Her capacity to learn isn't limited to academic subjects, but extends to the physical realm as well. She can do Olympic level sports, has Olympic level endurance, black belt level fighting techniques, Olympic level swimming, climbing, and parkour.
Skill: Psychology (4)
To try and help her with her lacking understanding of people and their emotions, Jeanne picked up some psychology while she was at MIT. Granted it was never her major, she picked up more than enough in the library alone to be able to do a thorough psychoanalysis on a person if she cared to do it. She can talk about people the way a Discovery Channel Narrator does, which doesn't endear her to anyone.
Trait: Eidetic Memory
Anything she sees or hears, Jeanne remembers in perfect detail. No doubt her eidetic memory helps Jeanne a great deal in being the polymath that she is. She recalls entire conversations word by word, and can quote a person precisely a long time after the conversation occurred. She recalls twitches in facial expression that show stress, discomfort and can generally tell if someone is impersonating another person but doesn't mimic their emotive facial patterns and choice of words to perfection. She can tell upon entering a room what each person is wearing, where are they sitting or standing and what were they doing at the time she entered. Given a glance at an electric circuit, she'll be able to recreate it. Given a glance at a source code, she'll be able to recreate and likely improve the software. There is one caveat to this as a tie-in with her photographic reflexes ability, namely, as a result of retaining massive amounts of information, as she grows up she will start to forget things that are not essential to survival or success in what missions she may face, for instance, how her daughter looks like.
Trait: Photographic Reflex
The key that ties in with Jeanne's photographic memory and polymath abilities, to unlock her potential to tremendous heights, is her ability of Photographic Reflexes. It also happens to be the chief element behind Jeanne's theory that Taskmaster is her real father. Any action Jeanne sees performed; she can perform herself in a flawless manner. If she were to look at a sniper perform an impossible shot, she will be able to replicate the shot a moment later. If someone performs an incredible feat of acrobatics, she will be able to perform the same seconds later. If she were to see a guitarist perform at a concert and get a good look, she'll be able to play the guitar at the same level soon after the show. This is what drives Jeanne to see and experience as much as she can, so she can increase her arsenal of knowledge and skills. This drive of her is probably a result of how her parents pushed her to excel from a very young age.
Advantages
Advantage: Fail Meta Test
After joining the US Olympic Gymnastics Team, Jeanne's outstanding performance which had her projected for gold medal in every event brought to question the legitimacy of her skills. She had to undergo various tests to check if she's cheating by having meta abilities or any kind of superpower. All these tests have failed. Jeanne herself later surmised she inherited her unique ability from her father, whom she hypothesizes is Taskmaster.
Flaws
Flaw: Audacious
As Jeanne has supreme confidence in her abilities, and is certain she never makes mistakes, she tends to partakes in endeavors that other may not. She may try some crazy stunts, or carry out a plan based on an untested theory which she calculated should work in a particular way, and of course she never backs down from a challenge. While this may lead her to certain discoveries and breakthroughs, it can also jeopardize her needlessly. Sooner or later, Jeanne is bound to find someone who will deal her a first defeat, and it remains to be seen how she'll cope with an unfamiliar territory such as failure.
Flaw: Future Memory Lapses
While Jeanne has photographic memory and will tell anyone who challenges a fact she stated about the past that she remembers everything, period, her future isn't as great from that respect. As she continuously absorbs more data, more information and harnesses more abilities, Jeanne is going to fill her memory to capacity. This will lead to her brain retaining everything essential for survival and successful completion of endeavors, but it will come at the cost of forgetting more mundane things such as who she met last week, where she was a month ago, and all the way to the radical such as in the future, forgetting how her daughter looks like. She is still very young and has yet to experience it, but seeing as Taskmaster is going through just that, it is not so much a question of whether it'll happen to Jeanne, so much as a fact that it will.
Flaw: Socially Inept
Jeanne can interact with computers like no other, one might assume she thinks and speaks binary. With humans, on the other hand, Jeanne is an absolute disaster. Much like a psychopath, she can fake emotions, she can appear normal, but she doesn't understand emotions. She is far too analytical, far too scientific, and tends to look at almost any situation objectively while assessing the best course of action. As a result she can insult people in the worst way while trying to give them a tip, or simply talking to them, as she doesn't use white lies and have no sense of decorum and socially accepted behaviors. Not surprisingly, she didn't have too many friends in childhood.
Flaw: Taskmaster
Jeanne is a brilliant young girl, and it didn't take her long to theorize her parents cannot possibly be her real parents, at least her father couldn't. As everything can be found in genes, she's come to conclude that Taskmaster has to be her real father, and she's set on a quest to try and meet him and find out for herself. The problem is that others may reach such a conclusion as well, and that may not shed the best of lights on Jeanne, and could lead to mistrust with certain people or organizations. There's also the question of what would happen if she finally did run into Taskmaster. Would he try to kill her? Would he accept her as his own? If he does, would that lead to her corruption towards a life of crime? Jeanne is a bit on the amoral side to begin with, the way she measures anything analytically rather than by a set of moral codes.
History[]
Jeanne Foucault was born to parents of ill repute, both having been stark criminals of the ordinary variety in their past, without a trace of super powers. But Jeanne was no ordinary child; she was a polymath with eidetic memory and photographic reflexes, meaning not only could she recall in perfect detail anything she saw and heard, but she also gained and retained skills and knowledge at a glance and a single read through educational material. Showing such a great advancement compared to her peers, partaking math while they were learning to count, she was taken to be tested for the mutant gene, and subsequently to other indicator tests for paranormal powers, all came out negative.
Jeanne's parents were delighted with the great fortune that befell them, and immediately used their gifted daughter for their own means. Jeanne was taken to classes and given access to information on a myriad of competition forms, and was given rewards for accomplishments in any activity that brought her parents money and acclaim. Before her age reached double digits, she was already winning equestrian tournaments, followed by more winnings in competitions in varied sports, ranging from chess, to billiards, to gymnastics, to fencing and a wide range of martial arts. While her room was full of trophies and medals, her parents' bank account was full of money from her winnings. Jeanne wasn't oblivious to the fact her parents were using her, but at her age had no choice but to do as they say.
With an insatiable appetite for knowledge and skills, Jeanne kept learning whenever she could, that is when she wasn't entered into competition in various sports to win more money for her parents. Eventually she got scholarships and people from Academia intervened and Jeanne was allowed to go study at MIT, from which she graduated at age 14 with multiple degrees.
Following her graduation, Jeanne developed a theory; she believed that her real father is the Taskmaster who must have met her mother while her parents attended one of his criminal schools. She is determined to find him and verify it. But she holds the scientific position that the only way she could be so similar to him is because she has his genes, which means her hypothesis must be true.
Having continued her training in martial arts, combat and weapon training, she has surpassed all of the teachers that were available to her. To better her skills and pick up on valuable experience, Jeanne has been taking occasional outing in a costume, under the codename Finesse. She mostly stopped criminals from picking on the helpless around her vicinity, not liking the fact thugs would pick on overmatched people just because it was easy.
Jeanne has also persisted in her gymnastics training and was called to the Olympics gymnastics team, where she excelled and was very quick to become the best member of the team. However as Jeanne was projected to gold medal at every event based on her performance in Olympic training, there has been a rising suspicion she may be using meta powers to cheat. Having to undergo various tests for super powers and abilities, all of which came out negative, Jeanne eventually decided it's pointless to compete and win something she will be questioned for and decided to drop from the Olympic team.
Instead, Jeanne set out to prove her theory about her father, and using her Finesse alterego, she set out on a quest to find Taskmaster and confront him with the fact she may well be his daughter. Jeanne isn't sure what to expect once she finds Taskmaster, will he accept her and be a father figure like her real father never was? Will he seek to eliminate her? Either way, she had to find out.
