Jimmy's body, limbs and neck can stretch up to fifty yards. His body gains a certain resistance to damage as well - he's almost immune to falling, since he can simply curl up and bounce; blunt and large impact damage is greatly lessened; he remains as vulnerable to sharp objects, bullets and most environmental effects as he ever was. His form is very ductile - he can slither through a narrow pipe or under a door, or make himself thin and flat enough to serve as a kite or parachute - but he does not have the sophisticated shapeshifting ability of, say, Plastic Man.

Jimmy is an ace photographer and has a keen eye for minute details that others might miss.

Jimmy is an above-average athletic young man, particularly with experience in climbing or squeezing into unusual places and positions. He's more agile and quick than strong and tough.

Jimmy also functions as an investigative journalist, capable of digging up the dirt on people, tracking down people who don't want to be found, knowing the good and bad parts of town, keeping track of the movers and shakers, and putting together clues. He's still learning, but he's had a lot of on-the-job experience.

Jimmy is a much better photographer than he knows, with a keen eye combined with excellent balance and color sense. He also knows the technical side of the business, in equipment, optics and computer image/video enhancement.

Gear: Signal Watch

Jimmy's most famous bit of equipment is his Signal Watch. It emits a powerful ultrasonic tone that only Superman can hear. It's very durable and waterproof but in almost other respects it's a totally normal watch.

Jimmy has been all over the world, covering stories for the Daily Planet. He has many, many mundane contacts in most major trouble spots, and some could help him out in tight situations, or provide intel on what's going on.

Advantage: Living Large

Living in close proximity to superheroes, Jimmy has had more than his fair share of... incidents. He's been killed a couple of times, been a ghost, dated a vampire, been a genie, been a sidekick more than a couple of times, time-travelled, space-travelled, been to the center of the Earth, fought mutants in the desolate far future and ran from dinosaurs millions of years ago. He's not blaise or jaded, but after the initial jolt wears off there's little he can't adjust to and there's not much that can deeply frighten him.

Jimmy has a basic familiarity with most of the major language groups due to his travels; he's most comfortable with the old standbys of Spanish and French, but he can make himself known in several others, even if it's "Journalist! Don't shoot!" He has a smattering of Interlac and Kryptonian as well, enough at least to recognize them when he sees them.

Jimmy is a full member of the Daily Planet staff and so has a press pass to all sorts of events and areas that normal people cannot get into. He can get backstage, behind the scenes, and is adept at using this to go where he isn't wanted. Due to the Planet's reputation, he can usually wrangle an invite to most events of any significance, and gain access to most people (with some notice).

Jimmy is a noted reporter and photographer. His photos have appeared in major publications, coffee table books, and adorn the walls of countless homes and offices. He's got a good position with the Daily Planet, and that gives him a pretty good lifestyle, all told. He can't purchase really extravagant things, but he has a midtown apartment in NYC, the best Playtendo entertainment system money can buy, and an enviable collection of cameras and video gear of all sorts.

Flaws

Flaw: Invulnerable

Jimmy is a young man who's already lived through situations that would have killed a dozen people. He has no real concept of his own mortality, and his capacity for fear is pretty much gone -- and it's even less so when he's behind the lens of a camera. Nobody shoots the cameraman, right?

Flaw: Trouble Magnet

Jimmy is in a profession that can he highly dangerous, AND he hangs around The Man of Steel. People know this. Criminal masterminds, alien warlords, and mad scientists know this. He's also been instrumental in ruining several important figures in crime, finance, politics, and other areas where malfeasence lurks. They are not happy. Pretty much at any time, Jimmy can be the recipient of anything from a car bomb to a nanotech poison designed to turn him into a living atomic bomb. That's just the way life is.

Flaw: Unlucky in Love

Jimmy has a streak of bad, bad luck with regards to romantic relationships. Almost every relationship he's had has ended up on the rocks, and seldom does he even end up in the friend zone. This also extends to unwanted romantic attention from alien princesses, supervillainesses, star-crossed lovers, and that cute waiter at the cafe. It can be funny and cute, or descend into deadly stalker-esque territory.
