Overview[]
Leopold Alexander Luthor a.k.a. Leo is reported in the news as Lex Luthor's son and heir apparent. He came out of seeming nowhere, and has a certain rebellious air about him or is it merely bored? He attends Academy of Tomorrow, studying Communications as a major and Criminal Justice as a minor. Wait, is it legal for a Luthor to study Criminal Justice?
Match is a superhero who is also know publicly as Leo Luthor. He wears a uniform similar to Superman's, but red and black with an empty red shield. He also wears the black leather jacket and wears red gloves. He and Superboy actually look a lot alike, but Match has blonde hair and a more bad boy attitude than his seeming 'twin'.

Abilities
Ability: Willpower (4)
The reason Match has a high willpower is not because of a faith or ideal, it is because of his sheer stubborness, his own hatred, to even his own pride or how he has mastered his mind for the use of his TTK. Match can easily be blinded and it would take great resistance to detour him from his path. Still, he does have weaknesses via his emotions which can crack his will, but pain or torment will not do it.
Power: Flight (5)
Kryptonian Limit: Yellow Sun Dependent
TTK Limitation: Concentration
Kryptonian Flight: Match can fly up to excessive supersonic speeds by using his Kryptonian gifted powers. He can take a trip to the moon and back (if he held his breath or trapped air by a TTK field) by himself no problem (this is about 238,900 miles travel between the two celestrial bodies).
TTK Flight: Match can also do the same with the use of his telekinesis, which permits him to fly longer due to switching off between his natural and mental abilities. However, using his TTK permits him to be able to extend his flight field to another via touch, and can also better protect someone he carries as well from wind and pressure, which his Kryptonian abilities are not as effective in doing.
Power: Force Field (8)
Limitation: Concentration on some level.
Energy Limitation: Can only Defect if Aware, Cannot Stop
Force Field: Match can create a tactile telekinesis force field. This force field only stops physical attacks, and will not stop energy based attacks or repel gases. The field can be used to deflect energy attacks with careful concentration and awareness, though it still can never be used to stop them. If his force field is shattered, it can and will make Match hurt not only physically from the impact, but also mentally. It can handle a tank blast, high powered weaponry, and most conventional weapons. It can also be extended via touch, permitting Match to force someone to release their grip via expanding it, or extending it via touch to someone else so they do not get wind chapped when flying with him. However, he cannot extend this ability even via ground contact with another person at this time as physical contact must be gained.
Power: Heat Vision (4)
Limitation: Yellow Sun Dependent
Match has the ability to create beams of pure heat from his eyes. He has shockingly good control over it with aiming, able to blast a gun from someone's ungloved hands with only minor burn damage left behind on the hand and fingers, but melting a piece of the gun.
Power: Invulnerability (8)
Limitation: Yellow Sun Dependent
Energy Limitation: Level 6
Kryptonian Invulnerability: Match has natural defenses against physical and energy attacks, which does particularly help him when his TTK fails or is bypassed. Still, strong heats like a volcano or the sun is going to hurt him much more than the cold of space for some reason, perhaps because his absorption gets overwhelmed when associated with extreme heat and certain radiations. This is also associated with inhuman stamina, which permits him to handle intense activity for a long period of time before feeling the strain, or even take intense abuse without crumbling immediately, to even going a few days without sleep and still able to mostly operate.
Adaption: Most temperatures on Earth will not bother Match, nor does the cold of space as long as it is not for long periods of time. However, if one gets to the heat of a volcano or sun, to even the cold of space for over thirty minutes, Match is going to start to suffer. This natural adaption also permits Match to hold his breath for inhumanly long periods of time. He can take a trip to the moon, spends a few minutes or so there and come back without straining, but anything more he would be turning blue. He won't be talking in space, that's for sure. It also ironically helps him resist underwater pressure above his normal invulnerability, as if his body adapts to the increasing pressure. It should be noted that a laser can heat up potentially to 1,000 C or higher, which is about the tempature of lava, Match is not going to be be immune to this and unless deflected will cause severe burns and terrible pain. Plasma guns would likely be another weapon of danger to Match.
Power: Non-Human Physiology
TTK Limitation: Concentration
Alien Limitation: Yellow Sun Dependent
Half-Kryptonian: As a half-Kryptonian, Match has the ability to absorb solar energy and convert it into other abilities such as super strength, invulnerability, an enhanced healing factor, and more. He is not as efficient in absorbing solar energy as full-bloods, and as a result is on a weaker level than them naturally. These powers do not stack on top of his Tactile Telekinesis which is a seperate power all-together, designating from his half human genetics and an active meta-gene. As a result, while using TTK can mentally strain him, his Kryptonian powers actually absorbs the solar energy from his body and over time if over used can actually start feeding on his own body. As a result, his Kryptonian powers are more limited in time use than his TTK, and while TTK may hold risks of migraines, nose bleeds and passing out, his Kryptonian powers hold the risk of starvation and death if over-used.
Further examples of limitations and strengths compared to his Kryptonian powers and his TTK are listed in other power descriptions.
Meta-Human: Match has an active Meta-Gene that gives him Tactical Telekinesis.
Tactile Touch: While sheer strength can cause damage to spread out and equal his typical strength (8), the radius is only up 1 mile (Distance 2) unless something very strange or epic happens. This power's primarily objective is actually to give him more flexibility than his Kryptonian powers provide. For example, while Force Field may be of equal strength of his Kryptonian powers, it will not stop energy based attacks and can only deflect (if he is aware of the attack), but it can also be used to trap air inside so that Match can last longer in space past the time he can hold his breath as a half-breed Kryptonian. It can also protect his clothing, while his Kryptonian powers cannot. As a result, his power is used to suppliment his Kryptonian abilities with additional feats, but do NOT stack.
Extend Senses/Vibrations via Tactile Touch: He can extend his tactile touch senses to actually feel out the layout of a building, spread the power of a strength attack, to even just introduce vibrations throughout an engineer device to make it fall apart (Disassemble). He can also by spreading his senses feel when someone is running rather than just hear it, force his vibrations through a floor, up into a body, to make a gun far apart that the person is holding (and causing damage to the individual), to even just force volumnes of sand or dirt to expode and create a cloud of millions of forceful tiny attacks. So yes, he can cause a floor to break apart and pieces of fly up toward someone due to sheer force in an attack, but he would not have the final control that a true Telekinesis would have upon the objects once they leave physical contact from the floor.
Power: Super Senses (4)
Limitation: Yellow Sun Dependent, Cannot See Through Lead, Can Be Obstructed By Overstimulation
Kryptonian Super Senses: Match has many of the innate super senses of a Kryptonian. He can also zoom in from great distances, seeing great detail from ten miles away, and hear clearly individual voices just as far. He can also hear volumes and pitches that normal humans cannot hear. Match luckily had some innate learning to block out ambient sounds, but Match had to learn how to fine tune that to make it useful in application when focusing on a specific source/sound/frequency/etc. His super senses also permit him to keep better track of insanely fast and sudden movements than normal human eyes could ever hope to achieve. He also has microscopic vision and the abillity to see across the electromagnetic spectrum.
X-Ray Vision: Alright, so Match had fun experimenting with this one when he felt particularly perverted. Still, his ability to do x-ray vision does not cause harmful radiation as it is passive. Furthermore, it requires great concentration to perform. Finally, he can also sometimes make out not only x-rays, but also cosmic rays and other forms of energy invisible to normal human vision (not that he necessarily can identify them). This latter though is by luck rather than effort.
Power: Super Speed (5)
Limitation: Yellow Sun Dependent
Kryptonian Super Speed: Match's Kryptonian abilities give him a natural form of super speed that requires next to no mental effort. He can use this speed on the ground.
Superhuman Reflexes: This most effective use of his natural super speed is actually via using his super senses with his speed of reaction (reflexes). This gives him the ability to move lightning quick to respond to sudden or surprise movements, and seem almost as if his arm for example teleported from one place to another it moved so quickly.
Power: Super Strength (9)
Kryptonian Strength: Match due to absorption and processing of solar energy, is able to convert it into superhuman strength.
Tactile Touch: Due to Match's tactile touch, he can more easily extend his super strength across an entire surface level. Thus if he lifts something, it is not going to crack or sustain damage from being lifted from a single point. He can also apply vibrations at the same level of his strength, to crack apart a section of ground, and so on. Furthermore, he can create via touch and almost expandable force field to exert his strength, thus more easily breaking from bonds or from someone restraining him.
Skill: Academics (4)
Match's mind was downloaded with a vast amount of education for the higher class. But it was more than that, he was supplimented with information about alien technology, what little bit is known publicly about Kryptonians and what Lex Luthor could find out, along with information about LexCorp technology and engineering. He knows a lot about geogrphy, and the cultures, languages, religions, and so on about different places about the world. He knows about business tactics, and general legalities used in business. He also has general knowledge about criminal organizations and social etiquette. The one flaw is that though he may know the years of the civil war, if asked what they fought over it would be a text book quote rather than something made through his own observations and beliefs. He may ace a standarize test or building something he has prior knowledge on, but he has major troubles with essays and original design, failing at this time as an inventor. Still, if he is able to close that gap missing from the manner he was educated, he could grow in leaps and bounds with the application of knowledge.
Skill: Charisma (4)
Leo can be very charismatic as a heroic figure or as simply the assumed heir of LexCorp. He can display a cocky grin, hold himself confident, or even make a sexy leer. The point is, he really holds that 'bad boy', but 'so good' image. He comes off as a playboy and flirt, and when he is annoyed or upset he can appear the dark, dramatic loner type, very quiet and gritty, the James Dean type; so yes, broken at times. He is trouble in CAPS for girls with self-preservation tendencies, and likely can put the more pure hearted on edge. Still, there is just something about the camera loving him from his trouble 'image' moments, to those rare moments that a camera may catch an honest to goodness grin that isn't posed.
Skill: It's War (4)
Combat: Match had information downloaded during his cloning process that have him a lot of military combat training that includes a mixture of boxing and martial arts. He is often effective in his combat, and knows quite a few pins and holds if required, however he rarely uses his true abilities and knowledge because of his habit of relying on his powers overly much. But if push came to shove, he can certainly hold his own in most typical battles. The problem is in adaptability with martial arts and his lack of experience in doing this as knowledge can only do so much.
Military Science: Match is a budding mastermind. From underhand tactics, to deployment of soldiers, to transportation of supplies, to setting up traps, military and alien weapon systems, to solo tactics of attack and retreat is all things Match has not only been downloaded with at his cloning, but excels at if he bothered to put real effort forth and keep his temper. He has great talent, which only needs fine-tuned and perhaps reflects his Luthor heritage. And though criminal justice is technically not a military science, it can often be useful in military science as it assists with prediction of criminals actions/tactics (which can be applied to prediction of military troops and survival techniques in city warfare), the psychology of an enemy, and of course the laws of conduct. This is sort of the reason that Match ended up picking criminal justice as his minor in college.
Skill: Power Combat (5)
Via direct information transfer, Match learned about flight and aerodynamics. Since his so-called 'birth', he had worked hard to experiment, even until exhaustion to improve tight twists and turns, and how to throw surprises into aerial combat. He does not often run or do typical athletics without the use of his TTK or Kryptonian powers, but he knows how to take a sharp turn while running, how to skid to a halt to avoid violent stops, and is very good at distance aiming due to super senses and practice with heat vision. This includes being able to fine point heat vision to knock a gun out of someone's hand to putting a hole through their hand, to long-distance snipering in the middle of a chaotic battle. Distractions can throw off his aim, but he is actually better at his heat vision than guns or other projectiles.
Skill: Mental Defense (5)
Leo is not weak willed, being he is a telekinetic; however there is always room for improvement. Emma Frost has helped make that happen. She helped Leo build a 'vault' and 'bank' inside his mind, an extra layer of mental defense to hide away his deepest and darkest secrets that she reinforced with her own telepathic abilities. To some it is a maze, to others buried like pirates treasure, to a Luthor, it's totally a bank.
Advantages
Advantage: Lex Luthor
Though Lex Luthor can also be quite a flaw (see flaws for those details), he is also very much a resource for Match. Because of Lex Luthor, Match is able to attend college at Metropolis University, have a nice two-bedroom and fully furnished apartment between LexCorp and the University, and receives an allowance. He is also gains continued education in the things associated with being the suspected heir to LexCorp which Luthor dangles before him as the right for him to own. Furthermore, Lex supports his PR as a superhero, which provides him with supplies he needs along with positive advertisements. Leo is also up for potential membership to the Hellfire Club and perhaps even the Inner Circle. Essentially, Leo's life is entirely built around Lex.
Flaws
Flaw: Emotionally Immature
Match may have improved imprinting of knowledge than Kon had, been educated in many things, proper and dark by Lex Luthor, he is still unexperienced. He is educated that everyone is out for themselves, but he has no personal experience yet beyond his father's and his own selfishness.
And yet, Match craves to be loved and accepted. This is his major flaw, because as a result, if someone grasps that weakness and exploits it, Match is utterly helpless and more-so than any normal person that had a positive environment, or has been properly exploited before. After all, Match has not really ever been betrayed, as he has never really trusted anyone other than Lex Luthor.
As a result, if someone attempts to manipulate his weaknesses, he will be more prone to it, and prone to rash actions, and ill-pursuits to even greater good depending on who is manipulating him. Also, if he is betrayed by one of these individuals, the emotional scarring is likely to be great, especially if it is from his 'Father'.
It is exactly this emotional immaturity that will likely prevent Match from ever becoming a more 'traditional' hero without someone of a strong moral fiber proving to Match that their love for him exceeds that of Luthor's, and reshape him in the image they deem fit without betrayal. Match does not know how to excel above selfish-neutral and his more base needs and desires, and this puts him at a great disadvantage in dealing with those that have mastered these basic emotionally mature aspects.
Flaw: Half-Breed
Being Half Kryptonite means that Match often shares many of the Kryptonian weaknesses. He is affected by Kryptonite just like full-bloods, and magic as well. Though Red Sunlight draining works a little more slowly on Match, it's as if since he is less effective in absorbing it, his body is more reluctant to give it up.
It should also be notated that as a half-breed that while being less effective in absorbing and converting sunlight energy, means he is not as powerful as a full-blood and can overuse his powers to the point of starvation much easier, which can even lead to his own death.
Finally, though he has a strong will, he does NOT have any natural telepathic shielding.
Flaw: Show-Off
Match is over-confident, egotistical, and a general show-off. He may not be this way 24/7, and sure, Krypto could likely make him have an accident (as Match does like to believe he is realistic), but well, sometimes this attitude can cause issues. It is what drives Match to prove he is better than Superboy seemingly no matter the cost, and what drives Match to refuse to accept his lot as minion in life as second best. Though this flaw can drive Match forward, it can also drive him into a corner and cut off his escape routes if he permits it to control him.
Flaw: Superboy
Match is Superboy obsessed. He was programmed with a hatred of Superboy, but Match is not stupid. He needs a reason. Lex Luthor gives him plenty, but the one that really locks it in, is the fact that Superboy is a hero, and Match is not. That Superboy has a legacy, and Match is earning his. Superboy has comrades, and Match only has his father. He wants to be better than the one his genetic code was based on. He hates to think he is a copy of a copy, and wants to think of himself as the new and improved version. Still, this hatred and obsession has nothing to do with murderous intent. Sure, Match could easily start a scuffle with Superboy just to prove he is better, but a dead rival is a useless rival; no more motivation to improve yourself, no one to compete against, no one to challenge, no one hate if they are dead. So, Match is not stupid, but he is dangerous and on the twisted side.
History[]
Created by Lex Luthor after the default to independent hero of Superboy, he 'improved' on his previous creation to create Match. This one would be owned by him and him alone, without outside influences. Match, a being that would be a proper Match for most anyone.
He increased the education that Match received in controlling his TTK, and altered his genetics slightly to make sure he had more versatility without the strain. He is a near perfect match to Superboy, except in minor generic ways and, of course the blonde hair. A different touch to make sure he stands out against his counterpart.
Match will come to play an important role in the upcoming plans Lex Luthor has. An apparent heir, a superhero for the people, and a weapon or shield as needed for his "father". He was given an education at a rapid pace as he was artificially aged to eighteen.
At his 'birth', he was given the task of selecting his own name, and countless expectations and demands were placed on him in his behavior, education, and performance. Match's short temper did appear at times, but he proved and adept pupil in picking up information and in creativity apply it, though his talent in engineering, electrics, and applicable research methods were lacking.
Constantly, Match was compared to Superboy and Superman, praised when he had done well by his 'father', and compared yet again in a less favorable light when he failed. Match developed the need for approval and praise, he developed the need to want to be looked up to and seen as the best. He desired to stand on high, and be seen as a pillar of example of greatness. He needed the people's love for this dream to become a reality, and the competitiveness unbeknownst to Superboy, began to develop rapidly.
Still, there is not the level of hatred in Match as Lex Luthor has toward the Kryptonians, but there is a competitiveness and cruelty that had been instilled within him. Match is not a true hero, and yet he is not a true villain. The path he walks is a thin line, and he could stumble to either side.
