Abilities

Attributes: Dexterity (5)

Sola has extremely fast reaction speed with little lag time between thought and movement, and she is purpose-built for agility over strength. Despite this, she is held back some due to her body being heavier than that of a human of similar build.

Attributes: Endurance (10)

Sola is powered by a combination of solar power and a battery backup. Assuming full charge but without the sun for recharging, she can still operate at her peak for about a week before shutting down.

Attributes: Intellect (7)

Sola is pretty much a walking supercomputer. Her score could be higher, except that she lacks imagination compared to an organic being.

Attributes: Perception (5)

While Sola's senses are artificial in nature, she is nonetheless capable of perceiving the world around her in high detail. Her senses just function differently than those of an organic being. Because of this, she can see in several different ways besides just visible light.

Attributes: Strength (4)

As she is non-human, she is designed to handle her own weight and then some. Her physical structure is incapable of supporting more weight than her own plus a ton without assistance.

Attributes: Toughness (6)

Sola's body is constructed of a futuristic ceramic titanium alloy capable of shrugging off assaults from most common weapons.

Equipment: Communication Array

Sola's communication array gives her inbuilt two-way "voice" capabilities covering most of the radio spectrum without having to physically speak, as well as the ability to connect to any kind of wireless Internet (normal wifi, bluetooth, cellular, satellite) as long as there's a signal. With her processing speed making brute-forcing a passphrase a breeze, this even applies to consumer and most military-grade secured wireless. (OOC consent is required to do so with secured signals belonging to a character or group.) Most of the equipment required to expand the array is available at any electronics store, believe it or not.

Equipment: Entropy Armor (7)

Built by Reed Richards and based on Sola's older body design, this armor is a step and a half above her normal bodysuit. It can withstand blows from even some advanced weaponry and has physical toughness nearing that of diamond. It's made of nonmagnetic metals and polymers. It also adds certain capabilities and extra weapons to Sola's arsenal.

Flight: Sola can fly at maximum speed 4 within an atmosphere, and at speed 6 outside it. Her armor by itself is not capable of escape velocity. Her aerial maneuverability is inversely proportionate to her flight speed. Her flight system can also be used on the ground to dash at very high speeds.

Plasma Cannon: Damage level 2-6, depending on charge level. Sola uses the modular cannon on her right hand gauntlet to release energy from her internal core as plasma shots. The damage is variable, from damage 2 at no charge, damage 3 at the first charge level, damage 4 at the second charge level, and damage 6 at the third charge level. She can also hold up to four second level charges at a time instead of using a third level shot. Each charge level beyond the first requires an extra pose of charging time. Only the third level charge can do lasting harm to organic matter, the lower levels can only stun organics. The cannon is fully compatible with her Energy Copy power. (Uses Small Arms skill)

Strength Boost: When Sola is wearing this armor, her Strength is considered to be at level 5.

Coprocessors: The extra coprocessors in this armor help to enhance Sola's reaction time by massively amplifying her processing ability. For reaction speed only, her Speed is treated as 8.

Power Drain: Sola's Endurance is lowered to rating 5 when using this armor due to all the power required to use all the extra equipment it carries, as well as partial incompatibility with her systems making a good bit of her energy simply go to waste.

Equipment: Kinetic Core (1)

Sola's backup battery can keep her body powered enough to function outside of combat for 12 hours (Endurance 1) even with her main solar core completely exhausted of energy. It charges up with every impact she absorbs.

Hyper Charge: Energy from this backup can be diverted straight to her weapons systems, giving her the capability to use a few fully charged attacks while ignoring the charge time.

Equipment: Sensory Array

Sola's senses are governed by an expandable sensory array that can be added to both via hardware and software.

Sight: Aside from visible light, her sensors allow her to see using infrared, ultraviolet, magnetic resonance, X-Ray and to sense life signs and energy signatures. The distance at which she can see is no greater than a human, though within that range, she can magnify her sight like seeing through a zoom lens.

Hearing: Her hearing is capable of picking up sounds in the 16 Hz to 64 kHz range. She can also hear softer sounds at a slightly greater distance than humans.

Equipment: Speed Boost (3)

Sola is normally capable of running at a peak speed of 30 miles per hour. She is, however, equipped with an Emergency Acceleration System. After running at peak speed for around 100 feet (depending on conditions), she can instantly increase her running speed to 150 miles per hour indefinitely, so long as she does not slow down or stop. She can change directions at this speed, though doing so requires a very wide turning radius if she wants to maintain her speed. She can also run through weak obstacles without losing speed. This ability functions even when unarmored as it's built into her body itself.

Magic: Living Machine (2)

Sola was programmed to be as close to human as possible when she was created, but over her life she's evolved beyond being simply the sum of her programming and technology. She has a soul. She has life force. She is alive. A consequence of this is that she's capable of expanding her skills beyond the martial and technological - and especially with the training of those she lives with, into the magical. This ability has the net effect of allowing her to learn and use magic, normally not possible for machines without a magical heritage. Her potential capabilities would be around a 2 on the Magic scale.

Powers: Energy Copy

Sola is capable of analyzing the signature of any energy she sees used or that is used against her, and she can instantly make short term modifications to her service blaster and the S-Lash to copy said energy for use as an offensive weapon. She cannot use this ability when on her backup battery, as producing energy types she does not normally produce requires extra power. After a day, the modifications revert and she cannot produce the copied energy until she copies it again. Even if the energy itself is normally more powerful, the version of it she produces cannot exceed the damage ratings of the S-Lash, service blaster, or the Entropy Armor's plasma cannon.

Skills: Computer Skills (4-10)

Being a walking supercomputer herself, Sola is familiar with many forms of computer technology. In the past, these skills saw little to no use, but in the now, she's flexing these mental muscles a lot more. It helps that she can process information at quantum speeds and that even the most advanced modern technology and security software are quaint antiques to her, making her skill level an apparent 10. With futuretech closer to or beyond her own, that advantage disappears, leaving her operating at a skill level closer to a 4.

Skills: Engineering (8)

Sola has, in the past, repaired herself to full function from a near-death state. That takes massive engineering skills. She has enough skill to repair or upgrade herself, or to build new body armors, provided that the technology is present to do so.

Limits: She has to have some familiarity with what she's repairing or upgrading. She won't be able to do anywhere near as much with unfamiliar technologies. She's also no inventor, so this skill won't help her to create completely new technologies.

Skills: Melee Combat (8)

Sola has used her whip in combat for many, many years, and has become exceptionally skilled while fighting with it. Few can match her prowess with these types of weapons.

Skills: Small Arms (4)

Sola is not very practiced with her blaster, due to it being her weaker primary weapon - nor was she ever known for such. Although she has excellent aim, she has poor understanding of compensating for external factors, as well as searching for weak spots. Her saving grace is that she has a similar level of understanding for all firearms and small projectile weapons that someone of her size could comfortably wield.

Skills: Unarmed Combat (6)

Sola is not quite as skilled in fighting without a weapon as she is with one, but she is nowhere near helpless when disarmed. She is programmed to be proficient with several disciplines of unarmed combat.

Weapons: E-Lash (2-7)

Built by Genevieve Zavia, this elemental whip is based on the technology of the S-Lash, but augmented with magical capabilities. It's capable of switching states between the five different magical elements - earth, fire, wind, water, and metal. It is considered a magical weapon and therefore can be used to great advantage against those vulnerable to magic. The damage dealt by the weapon can vary at Sola's discretion, depending on how much she needs to harm or not harm a foe. At its highest damage rating, it CAN harm organic matter. This weapon is completely incompatible with Energy Copy.

Weapons: Energy Ribbons (3)

The two ribbons extending from the back of Sola's helmet can also be used as weapons. They can conduct energy and work in a prehensile manner in an offensive, defensive, or utilitarian fashion. Each ribbon is about five feet long. These cannot cut through things. An organic being struck with one or both of these might feel a medium electrical shock. They can also be used to grab hold of certain surfaces.

Weapons: Hand Blaster Mk.2 (1-5)

Another of the upgraded weapons built in this time for Sola's use, this handheld blaster has a higher-end charge range than the old blaster and variable output to make it suitable for more situations. It's considered a magical weapon, does electrical damage, and is completely incompatible with Energy Copy.

Weapons: S-Lash (6)

A handheld device that channels Sola's stored energy into the form of a whip. The concentrated solar energy channeled in this way can cut through materials up to steel, often in a single slash. Steel and harder materials requires more slashes, but can eventually be broken through. The energy channeled into this weapon is solid and can be used to strike or subdue foes. It will not cut through organic matter (it instead "rides" along a person's bioelectric field), but it can paralyze organic beings by subtly disrupting said field.

Weapons: Service Blaster (4)

A handheld energy pistol capable of channeling Sola's energy into small blasts of concentrated solar energy. These blasts can punch through weaker materials and enough shots can disrupt energy shielding. They will not cause structural damage to organic matter, but an organic being struck with one might experience some pain.

Weapons: Taser Grip (2)

Each of Sola's hands contains all the components needed to produce a medium level electrical shock when held in a very specific manner. Though both hands have this capability, her power systems can only safely handle one hand at a time exhibiting this effect. Both can be used at the same time in an emergency, but doing this will leave Sola's power reserve substantially drained.

Advantages

Flaws

Flaw: Damaged Code

The only part of Sola's base operating code that is actually writable has been corrupted by exposure to very high-powered magnetism. That part of the code is the patch that keeps her from going berserk. With it now being corrupted, she has a harder time keeping her original (defective) programming from surfacing, and she may lose control of her violent impulses in stressful situations. Losses of control are usually evidenced by her eyes going wild, pained screaming, and insane-looking smiling.

Flaw: Displaced

Sola is not only from a future time, but also from a completely different version of Earth where the closest thing to a superhuman she may ever had to encounter would be a cyborg, where alien races never encountered Earthlings, and technology was way more advanced. What she knows as history doesn't line up with anything around her. Additionally, repairs that would be ubiquitous in her world require technology that only a few people in this world could even come close to creating.

Flaw: EMP

This flaw severely incapacitates Sola, immobilizing her for about a day or two if she is in the vicinity of an electromagnetic pulse being created. Her mechanical nature makes her vulnerable to these pulses. Her "brain" is hardened against these pulses, but the circuitry of her body is not.

Flaw: Ionic Weaponry

Sola's mechanical nature also makes her vulnerable to ionic weaponry, which can disrupt electrical signals. If struck by an ionic weapon, she can be stunned for anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes. These weapons can also drain her power reserves. If her power reserve is low enough, it could cause her to shut down.

Flaw: Linked Systems

Severe enough damage to Sola's body also damages the shielding of her solar power core. If enough damage is inflicted, Sola will shut down until she can gather enough energy to recharge.

Flaw: No Push

Sola's maximum physical capabilities are finite. She cannot push beyond them. Even if her body is upgraded, she still has maximum limits.

History[]

Sola was created in the mid 21st century by a mad scientist who sought to dominate the world. She was left in stasis because of a cognitive flaw in her programming - she was uncontrollable, even by him. About 100 years later, she was awakened inadvertently and responded by trying to kill the one who awakened her. Another of the doctor's final projects was activated during the fight, a powerful virus that would make robots go berserk. She was infected, which actually stabilized the defect. She would go on to fight to protect humanity for years from other berserk robots, even at the cost of her life several times, until going into stasis once again to purge the malware she'd been inadvertently spreading. During her sleep, she would in fact be purged of the malware. In the 23rd century, she was awakened again by humans facing annihilation by a tyrannical robot overlord - her one-time best friend. She fought and defeated him as well, but as she delivered the final blow, an explosion threw her across space and time, sending her to this world, in this time.
