Doctor Doom is ruler of the small European nation of Latveria. He rules with an iron fist. He is ruthless and extremely intelligent. His identity as Victor von Doom is well known as he is a head of state. Also as the ruler, he is untouchable through normal law enforcement in the States due to diplomatic immunity.

History[]

Victor von Doom was born to a gypsy and a folk doctor. Cynthia von Doom was a powerful sorcerer, but died due to a bargin going wrong with Mephisto. Victor would inherit much of his natural magical talent from his mother. After his parents died, Victor grew up hard and cold. He dedicated himself to avenging his parents and developed one of the greatest minds on the planet. He was offered a scholarship to State University in New York. While attending, he met Reed Richards for the first time, and his greatest rivalry was set in motion. While experimenting with a device to open dimensions, Reed commented that one of Doom's equations was off. Never one to doubt himself, Doom proceeded. The device exploded leaving him scared and kicked out of school. Doom travelled the Earth as he learned technology and the Dark Arts. He ended up in Tibet where the monks taught him, but also helped him create a suit of armor to hide his scarred face and shame. Impatient to finish the armor, Doom put the mask onto his face while still hot from the forge. The man known as Victor von Doom was gone. In his place was Doctor Doom who returned to the land of his birth and seized control of it. He now rules Latveria and plots bringing his own brand of law and order to all while gaining revenge against Reed Richards who wronged him.
